Troubleshooting
NOTE:
• Before troubleshooting, be sure to read Precautions for ECM Circuit Inspection:J24B.
• When measuring circuit voltage and/or pulse signal at ECM connector, connect special
tool to ECM and ECM connectors.

Go to Step 4. Replace fuel
3 Fuel pump relay check
1) Check fuel pump relay.

Is it in good condition?
Go to Step 7. Repair or replace
6 Fuel pump power supply circuit check
1) Turn OFF ignition switch. fuel pump power
supply circuit.
2) Detach fuel tank.
3) Disconnect connector from fuel pump.
4) Check that resistance between fuel pump power
supply circuit (B2) and ground is infinity.
Is it in good condition?
Go to Step 8. Repair or replace
7 Fuel pump power supply circuit check
1) Connect service wire between fuel pump circuit fuel pump power
(B1) and ground. supply circuit.
2) With ignition switch in ON position, check that
voltage between fuel pump power supply circuit
(B2) and ground is battery voltage.
Is it in good condition?
Replace fuel Repair or replace
8 Fuel pump ground circuit check
1) Turn OFF ignition switch. pump. fuel pump ground
circuit.
2) Check that resistance between fuel pump ground
circuit (B3) and ground is less than 3 Ω.
Is it in good condition?
