(DanChurchAid) is a faith-based, non-missionary organization. We work for the poor,
vulnerable and socially excluded communities and believe in life before death. As of Country:
January 2021, the Norwegian Church Aid (NCA) Bangladesh Country Programme Bangladesh
consisting of Gender-based Violence (GBV), Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive
Health (ASRH) and WASH has become a joint country partnership (JCP) with Dan Place of work:
Church Aid (DCA). DCA/NCA is responding to the crisis together with local partners in Cox’s Bazar
several camps and host communities. The GBV programme focuses on providing
multisectoral prevention and response services including GBV case management and
psychosocial support, in addition to the clinical management of rape. ASRH and
MHPSS services are strongly integrated into the GBV programme. Services are
operated through Women and Girls Safe Spaces (WGSS) and through existing health
facilities. Community outreach and prevention activities play a key component in the
programme and aims to reach women, girls, boys, and men through various platforms.
The DCA Bangladesh invites applications from qualified and competent Bangladeshi
candidates for the position of ASRH Project Coordinator for Rohingya Response
Programme.

Overall purposes of the role:


 
The integrated ASRH programme provides SRH services to girls and boys at the health
facilities as well as in the communities. The services are delivered in static clinics as
well as through mobile, multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities:

Specific objectives of mission: objectives, scope, and deliverables


 
● Build technical capacity of country programme staff to ensure ongoing
programme quality and innovation:
● Conduct technical training and ongoing technical coaching for country
programme staff, including on outcomes, theories of change, evidence, and
indicators.
● Review and share programme specific tools / resources / curricula and work with
ASRH Advisor to contextualize and adapt global and country specific materials.
Support country programme and partners with staff recruitment. Work with GBV
and WASH Coordinator to strengthen essential linkages (GBV,
● Menstrual Hygiene etc.) that drive improved access to reproductive health care.
● Represent NCA and its reproductive health programmes in conversations with
donors and technical partners. Attend all relevant coordination meetings (Health,
SRHR and Community Health etc
● With support from the NCA Roving ASRH Advisor establish ensure that the
programme meets universal standard methodologies. These include competency
based clinical trainings, coaching and mentorship, facility readiness assessments
and project monitoring

● Support the teams to develop awareness raising messages to promote uptake
ASRH-GBV services.
● Capacitate the team to ensure proper ASRH project implementation as per
project design; mentor team in the compilation of data and generation of quality
ASRH-GBV reports on a regular and timely manner.
●  Work with the CHWs in community education and conduct monthly meetings
with other community stake holders in discussing ASRH and services.
● Develop and maintain effective working relationships with all partners - including
community leaders, parents, other agencies, and other sectors to improve
cooperation and coordination.

Liaise closely with GBV Project Coordinator on GBV prevention and response to
ensure timely and high-quality implementation of project activities, sharing knowledge
and information, ensuring proper monitoring and adjustments to project strategies
based on learning throughout the project cycle.
 
● Technical lead on SRHR component of ongoing project.Provide A/SRHR specific
inputs to the adaptation of SASA! toolkit and BBC Media Action project.Support
partner in preparation of timely donor reports and liaise with donor counterparts
as necessary.Promote coordination with project staff and GBV team to ensure
project integration.Develop ASRH project workplan, spending plan and
participate in all relevant meetings.Work with the GBV team in developing
recreational activities for the adolescents aimed in promoting ASHR.

Roles and responsibilities

Actively represent NCA and its partners in the relevant cluster / coordination meetings
and with government when possible. Lead ASRH activities in achieving the outcomes
and outputs

Stay healthy and avoid risk behaviour. Staff will work in accordance with NCA's
principles, codes and standards: the ACT Alliance Code of Conduct, Principles of
Partnerships, the Code of Conduct for International Red Cross and Red Crescent
Movement and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) in Disaster Relief, the
SPHERE Standards, Do No Harm and Protection Principles and Core Humanitarian
Standards.

Professional skills and qualifications needed in the position


 
● Minimum 2 years of professional experience in implementing ASRH activities in
humanitarian contexts.
● Knowledge and field experience of IAWG ASRH toolkit, the Inter-Agency Field
Manual on Reproductive Health in Humanitarian Settings, Family Planning and
Comprehensive sexuality Education approaches highly desirable.
● Fluency in English both spoken and written required.
