A. AC Power System
Depending on the customer’s configuration, the circuit breaker INV supplies the DC
voltage from the ESS BUS to the static inverter via the switch INV 1 or INV 2.
If a selector switch SEL INVERTER is installed, three modes are possible. Inverter 1
or inverter 2 is selected automatically when the switch is set to the NORM position.
Inverter 1 or 2 can be selected by setting the switch to the INV 1 or INV 2 position.
The static inverter supplies the AC voltage to the overhead panel. Circuit breakers like
WX RAD or AHRS 2 supply the systems, which need the AC voltage.

B. Static Inverter
The static inverter converts the input voltage of 28 V DC to an output voltage of 26
V AC and of 115 V AC with 400 Hz each. Both voltages are stabilized in the static
inverter. The static inverter will be switched off in case of overtemperature, over-
or undervoltage and incorrect frequency. The caution INVERTER comes on in the
related system area of the CAD.
