REFLECTION JOURNAL
(Learner-centered Teaching Philosophy)

Grading Quarter: FIRST

Learning Area: SCIENCE 3

Reflection:

As an elementary educator, I am a believer of Humanistic Philosophy in

Education. It is when learners will be motivated to learn a subject if it’s something
they need and want to know. This is why I always prepare a lesson which includes
fun activities and games that captivates the learners’ attention to learn.

In this lesson plan from my First Quarter class, I have shown how I made
sure to involve my learners in the teaching-learning process. From the Review
wherein I prepared an activity that relates to my learners’ experiences. In the
activities I provided throughout the lesson, I also let them learn by doing by tasting
the different liquids I prepared. Having them differentiate the tastes of liquids based
on their experiences.

The consistent involvement of my learners in the teaching and learning

process has always been my priority in planning my lessons.
