PROVISIONAL SURVEY REPORT FOR PACKAGE B1
1. INTRODUCTION
AD.LULU SURVEY SERVICES was appointed by CHEC Construction Sdn Bhd to carry out the
Verification of GD Points and Control Points for Project: Proposed Construction and Completion
of the Sarawak Second Truck Road (Package B1: Proposed Construction of Highway from
Sebuyau to Lingga, Samarahan and Sri Aman Division) - Verification of GD Points and Control
Points. This report shall describe in details the survey works undertaken for the said project
under the following headings.
2. SCOPE OF WORKS
i. Preparatory Works
ii. Mobilization and Demobilization
iii. Verification of GD Points and Control Points
There was (1) team who involved in this project. The team was lead by our Senior Surveyor, Mr.
Siet Voon Chung. Members of the teams are as follows:

6. FIELD SURVEYS
The details survey was carried out in a professional manner and in accordance with the
procedures and requirement as spelled out in Term and Reference (TOR) or Scope of Works.
The field survey consisted of Verification of Existing (Old) GD Points, Existing (Old) GPS Control
Points and other control points which are necessary.
6.1 FINDINGS
Based on the previous report submitted by the contractor via WSL Survey Services to SRI
DATAI-CHV JV SDN BHD and Jabatan Kerja Raya Sarawak, we discovered the following issues:
a. There were no physical GPS readings or observations to GD10 ,GD31 and others to proof
that the GD27 is firmed. The firmness and conditions of the GD 27 point is purely based the
physical eye judgement which is not in accordance to the survey practice requirement.
b. Most of the GPS data submitted in the previous survey report were in single base line
observation. In which the confirmation and accuracy of the position derived from the GPS
observation shall purely based on the GPS base line report only.
c. The connection to single SS 1035 and single B2TBM1 were not acceptable to use for
coordinates comparison purpose unless both of the mentioned points were proven intake
and firmed via physical surveyed observation data in accordance to the survey standard
practices.
6.2 RECOMMENDATION
From our point of view, a field check is required for all the points involve in this project
(Package B1). We proposed to carry out the verification by using GPS. Eight (8) baseline
sessions will be conducted to verify the GD & DLD points as follows:

6.3 SUGGESTION
Hence, the new control points coordinates in the survey report by the contractor via WSL
Survey Services as below can be used as the provisional coordinate:
7. CONCLUSION
Upon checking and study, we found that the survey submitted by the contractor via WSL
Survey Services required further field checking to certain the firmness of the GPS Points used as
the Origin and confirmation of the survey data which were arranged and derived from GD
Points.
The result of the adjusted control points which was tabulated in Table 4 is only constructed as
provisional coordinates where further formation and observation need to be confirmed before
the final coordinates can be finalized.
As a result of the above, the additional observations and connections as tabulated in Table 3
above need to be carried out.
The final comparison of the coordinates & the final survey report will be submitted upon
completion of the field work checking
