INTRODUCTION
PURPOSE OF THE PLAN
The purpose of this plan is to educate and prepare teachers, staff and
students of the natural and human-induced disasters that might occur in the
school. The plan also addresses on what to do before, during and after the
disaster happens.
CONTEXT ANALYSIS
The School is located near the Alubijid riverbank. During heavy rains in
the mountain, rainwater will cause the river to rise to its maximum level and then
flooded the front area of the school. To solve this problem, the school
administration together with the help from the Local Government came up with a
solution to put a flood control. Even if the flood control is now in place, still the
school is exposed to flooding because of the drainage connected to the flood
control. The drainage near the main gate overflows because of the rainwater
from the highway making the main gate not passable.
MISSION
To develop before,
a safe and resilient ANCHS
community during and after any
hazards and disasters.
GOAL
Toand
protect
livesand reduce loss offrom
properties
during and after any
calamities.

CONTINGENCY PLANS
Such planning is a management tool, involving all sectors, which can help
ensure timely and effective provision of humanitarian aid to those most in need when a
disaster occurs. Time spent in contingency planning equals time saved when a
disaster occurs. Effective contingency planning should lead to timely and effective
disaster-relief operations.

EARTHQUAKE
While a few seconds to minutes doesn’t seem like much warning time, even a
few seconds of warning can enable protective actions such as:
● The ability of individuals to stop working and begin to drop, cover, and hold on.
● In the workplace, personnel can move to a safe location and personnel can
prepare and prioritize response decisions.
O
● After the earthquake, proceed to nearby evacuation area.
