IMPORTANT NOTES ON MONTESSORI TIME

Montessori time is a time for mixed activities. This session lasts 30 minutes and is a special feature of the program. During this period, students are expected to work individually or in pairs. Each is assigned with a different activity. The teacher can choose to supervise one of the activities and rotate between all groups every 5-10 minutes.
EXAMPLE OF MONTESSORI ACTIVITIES: - CHILD 1: Play with number sets to review numbers. - CHILD 2: Review vocabulary on previous topics (classroom objects or jobs). Use flashcards to match pictures with words. -CHILD 3: Do exercises in worksheets - CHILD 4: Play with other materials selected by the teacher (choose ones that do not require a lot of instructions or supervision – this will help reduce the teacher's workload)
