PRELIMS RULEBOOK
FORMAT

1. The competition is a semi-pro Western event.

2. Interested bands can register for the event via
the circulated Google Form.
3. The bands will be shortlisted based on video
entries.
4. The prelims will happen in Bangalore and the
selected bands shall travel to NIT Trichy for the
finals.
5. A standard drum kit will be provided. Other
instruments are the band’s responsibility.

RULES
1. The event is open to all, band members need not
necessarily be college students.
2. Each band should consist of a minimum of 3 and
a maximum of 7 members for the performance on
stage.
3. The choice of specific genre of the music is of
complete freedom and is left to the band.
4. Each person may play for only one band.
5. Each band will be given 15 minutes for the
performance on stage, including setup time.
Exceeding the limit will attract a penalty.
6. Substantial weightage will be given for original
compositions as well as the band’s overall
chemistry.
7. On-spot registrations will not be entertained.
8. Obscenity on stage is strictly prohibited.
9.The judges’ decision will be final and binding and
are not open to review.
*Sound check shall be done before the event starts
