Norberta Guillar Memorial National High School conducted the first ever grand
alumni homecoming on December 30, 2022 at Buenavista covered court. The event was
attended by NGMNHS teachers and alumni from the year 2006 to 2022.
The event included fun activities such as Search for Mr. False Gay which was the
highlight of the night, singing contest and some raffle draw. There were ten game candidates
eyeing for the Mr. False Gay crown. All were male candidates that filled the event with many
laughters. Amongst them, Mr. Juvellar won and bagged the majority of the awards and prizes.
The attendees were lavished with a lot of raffle prizes that included sacks of
rice, grocery packs, home appliances, and a lot more. Each alumni batch set a buffet
that they all together enjoyed for a fellowship dinner.
Mrs. Shirley P. Sumugat, the current school principal of Norberta Guillar
Memorial National High School, who was also the brain behind this event, expressed
her gratefulness through a message she delivered during the opening program. She
also acknowledged the cooperation and support of the NGMNHS Alumni Association
Officers who gave their best effort to make this event an evening full of beautiful
memories.
With the attendance that was counted for more than a hundred, this first-ever
grand alumni homecoming was really a success. It was planned that this event will be
conducted every year from now on.
