B. Establishing a purpose for the Class, who knows here the song
lesson: “Pananagutan?”
Motivation As I flash the lyrics, let us sing (Together sings/reads the lyrics)
together this song.

After singing and listening to It was an emotional song with a

thoughts about it? How was it?
Was it inspiring? In what way?
What do you think is the I think the purpose of the writer

show our respect and
cooperation as we strive to be
good instrument of Gods will.

Very well-said.
Nobody can live alone. No one
survives without the others.
The same way with you class,
you cant survive without your
family and friends. Moreover,
you cant study here without the
support of the people around
you. In the same way, as part of
the community and the society,
you also play an important role
in it,right?
No maam. A community’s core
Do you think a community will is the people living in it. As the
live harmoniously without the saying goes, in union theres
people in it working together in strength. So together, the
peace and unity? community exist for and with
the people.

In a more realistic sense, do you Yes. Maam

think our school will function
well without you, students
cooperating and following the
rules?
Very Good Class.
Your answers signifies that you
are all an important part of our
school, or our society as a
whole. And the problems that
the society and the school are
facing could be solve with our
cooperation.

C. Activity Now, this morning we will have

an activity called “ Problem
Tree Analysis:
(READING AND WRITING
INTEGRATION)

With your group, you have to

analyze the market problem of
our school you have identified
last meeting. In a paper, you
draw a tree. A tree must have
roots, stem, branches, leaves
and fruits..

You write the problem meta

card on the fruits/leaves and the
cause in the roots. So this
shows that the problem is only
the fruit of something not right,
which we refer as roots/cause.

Now, what was your identified

problem again? Then, write it in
the drawing.

This time, let us identify the

cause or causes of the problem
we had identified. Write your
answers on the roots of your
tree. And the effects of the
problem on the upper part of
the tree.

Send the output via a

picture/image in our gc.
Or do it in publisher or word.
As long as they were able to
send it the same day.

Analysis
Now, do you see the Yes Maam. It helps us analyze
significance of our activity? and evaluate the causes of the
Why? problem we have identified.

Was it difficult or easy?

Do you now believe that a

particular problem could have
several causes?
Now, we know that this activity
What do we get after doing this allow us to look for the core
exercise? problem of the problem hence,
could provide concrete and
(Q and A will be elaborated realistic interventions.
based on the responses and
questions of the students)
Abstraction Very Good. The activity we had
show us the glimpse of the
complexity of the problem. And
we all know, not all problems
are easy to solve. Most of the
problems require tough
decision making and effort.
However, if we could diagnose
some of its roots/causes, it will
be easy for us to provide
concrete solution backed up of
interventions and plans.
The activity also gives us an
idea of relationship of problems
and the causes. We call this
relationship, the Cause and
Effect Relationship. Now,
where can we situate our topic
today, which is the market
needs?

Actually, we can relate that to

the causes that we identified.
Let us go back to your output.

(Additional input will be given

to the class by defining
MARKET NEEDS and its
connection to the problem)

Class, market needs are the

basis for our proposal to solve
the problem. Example, one of
the identified market problem
we have is malnutrition. In this
case, we know that one of the
causes of malnutrition is eating
unhealthy food. So what is the
market need there?
Isnt it that we have to offer
healthy food options to our
students to guide them away
from unhealthy/junk food?

Therefore, our proposal now is

to establish a business that
caters healthy products and
affordable by the students.
Application
At this point of our session, let
us now go back to your
PROBLEM TREE OUTPUT.
Choose and think among the
causes you identified. What are
the possible market needs you
could think of to solve such
problem? These market needs
are actually business
opportunities which we can
invest on.

Now, since the problem tree

analysis focuses in our school,
so try to consider the resources
we have in school.

Choose 1 business opportunity

you could think of from the
causes you have identified,

I will give you time to finish

your ouput. But at the end of
the day, finished output will be
posted in our groupchat and let
us see what have you got.

(After the session, in the gc the

teacher could ask the ff
questions;
What have you learned from the
activity?
What have your observed from
the problems identified by other
groups?
Are they inter related? Explain.)

IV. Evaluation The teacher will have quiz the

same with the activity (Problem
Tree Analysis). But this time,
instead of problems they see in
school, the facilitator will use
problems they see in their
barangay/ municipality, such as;

*prevalence of diseases due to

wrong disposal of wastes
*poor families because of
unemployment or
underemployment
*presence of water borne
diseases

The learners will identify the

causes of these problems and
the market need. Then they will
propose solutions.

Do you have questions? If none,

please take note of your
assignment.

Thank You.
V. Assignment Answer the ff in your notebook.
