Section 1: Reading Comprehension
-You will be provided with a text you have never read before to
read and answer the questions.
-Before reading the passage, search for the key words in the
questions to ensure that you understand what to look for.
-You need to use the skimming and scanning skills you learned in
the class to answer some questions.
-You may also have to read between the lines to answer some of
the questions.
-You should get the contextual clues to understand some of the
words.
-Answers with irrelevant information will not be marked.

-You will be asked to write a summary of a reading text in this part
of the exam.
-You should read the question / situation carefully
-You should read the text carefully, read it multiple times if
necessary.
-You should identify the main points / ideas in the text.
-You should rephrase the main ideas when writing a summary,
avoid copying sentences directly from the original text.
-You should keep it short and concise, remove any unnecessary
details or repetitions.
-You should check for accuracy, make sure you haven't
misrepresented any information or changed the intended
meaning.
-You should write the word count for your summary.
-You should punctuate the sentences correctly.
-Use a variety of sentence structures to score high marks .
-Use appropriate tenses.
-Grammatically incorrect sentences and misspelled words will be
penalized.
-The length of your essay should be between 180 and 200 words.
