A RESOLUTION ADOPTING RESOLUTION NO. 16-461-2023 ENJOINING THE

TWENTY-SEVEN (27) BARANGAYS OF MANDAUE CITY TO SUPPORT THE
IMPLEMENTATION OF THE CITY-WIDE HEALTH SYSTEM INTEGRATION
APPROACH IN RELATION TO THE UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE (UHC) ACT (R.A.
NO. 11223);

WHEREAS, the Uiniversal Health Care Act embodies an integrated and comprehensive
approach to ensure that all Filipinos are health literate, provided with healthy living conditions
and protected from hazards and risks that could affect their health;

WHEREAS, the Implementation Of The City-Wide Health System Integration Approach In

Relation To The Universal Health Care (UHC) Act (R.A. No. 11223) by;
1. Facilitating online registration of their community members to PhilHealth and to a Primary
Provider;
2. Profviding sustained financial support to barangay health programs; support conduct of
population and individual based health services;
3. Supporting health promotion campaigns to establish healthy communities; ensure personnel,
medicine and equipment support for disaster risk reduction and management in health
activities;
4. Actively supporting epidemiology abd surveillance activities foe early detection and
response to emerginig and notifiable disease; and
5. Integrating other local health related activities towards universal health care.

WHEREAS, Mandaue City pledges responsibility to the comprehensive implementation of the

Universal Health care Act in the City;

WHEREAS, the city intends to employ the CITY-WIDE HEALTH SYSTEM INTEGRATION
APPROACH to deliver both population – based and inidividual –based health services;

NOW THEREFORE, on motion of SB Member Nera B. Salazar, duly seconded by kagawads
present, be it:

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, to approve The Resolution Adopting

Resolution No. 16-461-2023 Enjoining The Twenty-seven (27) Barangays Of Mandaue City To
Support The Implementation Of The City-Wide Health System Integration Approach In Relation
To The Universal Health Care (UHC) Act (R.A. No. 11223);

RESOLVED FINALLY, to furnish copies of this resolution to the City Mayor’s Office, Office
of Sangguniang Panlungsod, City Health Office, and other government agencies concerned for
their information and appropriate action.

ADOPTED without objection as proposed by SB Member Nera B. Salazar.
