I think Globalization has brought about more ills than benefits so I stand
with economic globalization divides the world. Globalization has been influenced our way
of living enormously even at least with the littlest things we never expect. As an
interconnection and integration among variety of culture and races employed, the
standard of living became more accessible and easier.

The economical aspect is rapidly developing. It has brought about an improved

standard of living for many people. Since the wall between and among countries were
slowly broken down into connections, exchange of goods was better, easier, quicker and
more conveniently deployed. Low taxes and free market trade and exchange were
rampant which reflect the economic riches and capability of a country in process of
importation and exportation of products. The rate of exchange is monitored as to how well
a country’s performance and if it is gradually developing or not. But no matter how you
view it, it is happening and affecting how our world functions.

The economic benefits and social costs of globalization are not evenly distributed
among society, resulting in great disparity between rich and poor. This globalization only
applicable to the rich people, how about poverty? Since it is developing, the rate of poverty
is increasing as well. Though it has positive effects it also does have its drawbacks and
one of them is difference it makes between rich and poor countries where there is a global
inequality that draws line or gap between the economic status between developing and
rich countries. Furthermore, the global integration of Philippines has merits to our country
in terms of trade, we can’t deny that it can also be a source of vulnerability.

In conclusion, I would say that Globalization is overall an ill as it only brings short
term economic gains, but such benefits are also subjected to the cyclical fluctuations of
the global economy.
