flight kit at home base station referring to the given schedule for certain flights.

EI Engineering Instruction

Flight Kit Fly away kit or flight kit is a set of aircraft parts which is on board in the aircraft
to be used as part replacement if the aircraft is having trouble at Outstation.

3.2 REQUIREMENTS
3.2.1 Responsibilities
Logistic controller is responsible to control and monitor flight kit readiness (Quantity,
Expired date and supporting parts & documents ) to be onboard and offload according
to its flight schedule refer to list flight kit from customer or MOM.
Logistic officer is responsible to make sure flight kit onboard and offload according to
the flight schedule.

3.2.2 Flight Kit Preparation Procedure

1) Logistic Controller receive flight kit request from Material Planner refer to Minutes
of Meeting (MOM) or email.
2) Logistic Controller update flight kit monitoring.
3) Logistic Controller Inform Tool Store to prepare tools which is needed to be set as a
flight kit and coordinate to Material Planner to request aircraft parts that will be used
as flight kit.
4) Logistic Officer Received flight kit parts from tool store and central store and make
sure parts complete as mentioned to the MOM or email, If part or tools expiration
date insufficient , the part will return to store & request for new part or tools with a
sufficient expiration date.
5) Logistic Officer After the parts are complete, record their part number, serial number
and the expiration date for control shelf life of material or tools,
6) Logistic Officer Do packaging for flight kit parts to ensure the parts are safe to be
onboard, then measure for the flight kits weight.
7) Logistic Officer submit custom documents for all parts to bonded unit.
8) Logistic Officer must make sure and update the flight kit schedule before the flight
kit parts send to air side and ready to onboard.
9) After all document are complete, the flight kit parts are well packaged, and the
schedule had been confirmed, Logistic Officer send flight kit parts to air side and
handover flight kit parts to EOB contains of Flight kit Checklist Form.
10) Logistic Officer do offload flight kit parts refer to arrive schedule on shipping desktop
monitor.
11) If Flight kit parts have consumed by Outstation team, Logistic Controller inform to
PPC TL/OSA to consume by system and report flight kit activities to CSSM team
monthly for billing process to customer in google sheet database.
12) If Flight kit parts have not consumed or unused by Oustation team, Logistic
Controller report flight kit activities to CSSM team monthly for billing process to
customer in google sheet database.
