What is 3S.L?
3S.L (Science Secondary School Leyley) is independent secondary school located in Gitega Village, Mpanda Sector, Ruhango District, and
Southern Province.
S.S.L has been created through the initiative of Madam Shirley(Leyley) the owner in 2018, together with her friends in order to contribute to
education of Rwandan youth people especially in sciences and technology. That initiative had born with objective of increasing knowledge and
find solutions to practical problems especially in Rwandan youth people.
The main objective of 3S.L is teaching on high level science and technology based on programs of Rwanda education board to achieve the
quality of education in order to be competitive in technology.
Vision of 3S.L
Mission of 3S.L
The mission of 3S.L is to fight ignorance and uncompetitive and to produce human resource that the country needs for its socio-economic
development.
In particular:
a) Educate citizens free from all forms of discrimination, including gender, exclusion and privilege.
b) Contribution to the promotion of a culture of peace and an insistence on Rwandan and universal values of justice, peace, tolerance,
respect for the human rights, gender equality, solidarity and democracy;
c) Provide a holistic, moral, social and physical education which is professional and which promotes the abilities and competence of
individuals in the service of national reconstruction and the lasting development of the country;
d) Promote science and technology with a special emphasis on ICT;
e) Develop in the Rwandan citizen individuality of thought, nation patriotism, a sense of civic duty, a pride in work well done and global
conscience;
f) Transform the Rwandan population into human capital for development through the acquisition of skills in development.
g) Eliminate all causes and obstacles which lead to inequality in education, whether gender, disability, or geographic or groupings.
Teaching science and technology skills which let youth people develop and increase their knowledge, helping young people to grow up in
technology, thinking and belief which will help them to achieve their goals freely.
To make young people more aware of studying technological skills at 3S.L and showing them clearly its importance.
Improving technology and making young people more aware of using it as a tool of achieving to the development quickly and easily.
Teaching young people Rwandan culture, the spirit of collaborating through different games and sports.

GENERAL OBJECTIVES
1. To Improving communication
To facilitate communication and increase time spend working thought the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) put
emphasis on quality of education.
2. Maintenance& buildings
School maintenance and building programs include activity to prolong the life expectancy of school furniture and equipment and the
construction of 2 new classrooms.
Quality of education is the factors which have the greatest influence on students' performance; it is not the size of classes or even teachers'
qualifications that come first, but the way in which the school is run the educational and administrative management style. The objective will
put in place different measures designed to improve the quality of education by

Promote school sport and leisure is another factors to stimulate the physical and mental growth of students which has good effects on their
studies. The school sport and leisure will be promoted by hiring 2 sport teachers and buying sport and leisure materials.
• Strengths: commitment of partners to support science and technology schools, 3S.L has a good collaboration with administrative authorities
and the education political of encouraging science and technology schools.
• Weaknesses: in same case, the school expensive are higher than its income and the contribution of same parents which come not at time.
• Opportunities: participation and encouragement from partners, active teacher and student in different school activities and a good
contribution of parents.
• Threats: competing capacity and skills of workers and different challenges in the school development process.
