WRITING EXERCISE

I. LÝ THUYẾT
- Yêu cầu học sinh đọc kĩ lý thuyết phía dưới, có thắc mắc điện trực tiếp vào số điện thoại:
0363 762 477 hoặc mail: annienguyen.tybg@gmail.com.
- Lưu ý chọn lấy 1-2 cách sử dụng liên từ, không tham quá.
- Trong phần thân, có thể thiết lập từ 2-3 ý.

Ví dụ về cấu trúc 1 đoạn văn:

Topic: “Write about the advantages of television” (thuận tiện của TV)
1/ Topic sentence (Phần mở): 1 câu – giới thiệu chủ đề của cả đoạn sẽ viết.
E.g. (1) There are several resons why television if one of the most beneficial inventions of
human.// (1) Television brings some advantages to human life.

2/ Supporting sentences (Phần thân) dao động từ 2 - 9 câu, lưu ý sử dụng các liên từ để
làm đoạn văn trở nên logic và mạch lạc. (chọn lấy 1-2 cách để nhớ thôi nhé)
E.g.
 Firstly........... Secondly.......... Lastly
 In the first place (đầu tiên)........... Also (tương tự như thế)........... Lastly (cuối cùng)
 Generally (nhìn chung) ........ Moreover/Furthermore (hơn nữa)/What’s more? ........
Finally (cuối cùng)
 To be sure (chắc chắn rằng) ........ Additionally (thêm vào đó) ......... lastly (cuối cùng)
 In the first place (đầu tiên) .......... just in the same way (tương tự như thế) .........
Finally (cuối cùng)
 Basically (Cơ bản thì) .............. Similarly (tương tự như thế) .............. As well (Đồng
thời)
 - Các từ dùng để diễn đạt một ý khác hoặc nêu chi tiết một ý trong phần thân bài:
 In other words: Nói cách khác
 Specifically: Nói một cách cụ thể
E.g. (2) Firstly, television helps us to learn more about the world and to know and see
many new things.  (3) For example, you can learn about various cultures around the world
just by sitting on a couch.  (4) Moreover, television can make things memorable because it
presents information in an effective way. (5) Secondly, television entertains us as watching
it is an enjoyable way to relax. (6) Music and film, for instance, areone of the most
frequently watched programs on TV. (7) Furthermore, it increases the popularity of sports
and games. (8) Finally, it makes us aware of our global responsibilities. (9) This can be
seen in developed and peaceful countries whosecitizens become increasingly well-informed
about the victims living under the constant threat in warring nations.

3/ Conclusion (Phần kết) 1 câu – nhắc lại ý chính đã nêu ở câu chủ đề bằng 1 cách viết
khác, đưa ra kết luận dựa trên phần đã đưa ra trước đó.
- Các liên từ dùng để kết thúc 1 đoạn văn:
 Indeed/In short/ In a nutshell (nói tóm lại thì, cuối cùng thì, nói 1 cách ngắn gọn
thì…)
 In conclusion: kết luận là
 To conclude: để kết luận
  To sum up: tổng hợp lại
 Generally / In the general: nhìn chung
E.g. Indeed, television has been bringing about many benefits because it is not only a
source of information and a means of entertainment but also a constant reminder of our duty
to make a better world.
