or presenting the new lesson
B. Establishing a purpose for IKSP Integration
the lesson Jigsaw Puzzle
Forming a Native House
1. In order to form a native house, the foundation must be
established. Paste first the stands of the native house.
2. Then, paste the wall, the door including the window.
3. Next, paste the roofing of the native house.
4. Hang the gong near the door.
5. Finally, let Ballitok, Bugan and their child stand next to the
native house.
C. Presenting -Let the pupils identify the shapes that they can see in the native
examples/instances of the house.
new lesson

triangle- roof
rectangle- wall
square- window
circle- gong
-Let the learners give examples that resembles these shapes that can
be found in home, school and environment.
D. Discussing new concepts Literacy Skill
and practicing new skills #1 “Ballitok and Bugan”
Ballitok and Bugan were our ancestors who lived in Tinoc,
Ifugao. They are staying in a native house full of “pagey” and other
exotic foods. Let us find out the measurement of the area of some
parts of the native house if: the window measures 30 centimeters in
each side; the wall has a length of 7 meters and 5 meters width; for
the roof they alloted approximately 9 meters for the base and 4
meters for the height; and the gong that they hanged has a radius of
12 centimetes.

E. Discussing new concepts -Let the learners answer the riddles in order to unlock the formula
and practicing new skills #2 in finding the area of square, rectangle, triangle and circle.

Science Integration
To unlock the formula in finding the area of a square, answer this.
Riddle 1: I am a star. I am big and bright. I shine in the sky. I heat
the earth. What am I?

Moon Sun Meteor

Araling Panlipunan Integration

To unlock the formula in finding the area of rectangle, answer this.
Riddle 2: I am the father of katipunan. I am a Filipino nationalist
and revolutionary. Who am I?

Andres Bonifacio Jose Rizal Juan Luna

English Integration
To unlock the formula in finding the area of a triangle. Answer this.
Riddle 3: Break a __________ means good luck.
Bad Toast Leg
Try Again Try Again A=1/2 (b×h)

MAPEH Integration
To unlock the formula in finding the area of a circle, answer this.
Riddle 4: I am one of the national dances known in the Philippines.
I am a courtship dance which applies hide and seek movements
using a fan and a handkerchief. What am I?

Carinosa Tiklos Tinikling

A=π(r × r) Try again Try again
F. Developing mastery (leads Numeracy Skill and Higher Order Thinking Skill- Analization
to Formative Assessment 3) Let the learners solve the problems.

-Find the area of the window which measures 30 centimeters each

side.
A=s×s
=30 cm×30 cm
=90 cm2
Answer: The area of the window is 90 cm2.

Find the area of the wall which has a length of 7 meters and 5
-

meters width.
A=l×w
=7m×5m
=45 m2
Answer: The area of the wall is 45 m2.

-Find the area of the roof which has 9 meters base and 4 meters
height.
A=1/2 (b×h)
= ½ (9 m×4 m)
=36 m2
=18 m2
Answer: The area of the roof is 18m2.

-Find the area of the gong which has a radius of 12 centimeters.

A=π(r×r)
=3.14 (12 cm×12 cm)
=3.14 (144 cm2)
=452.16 cm2
Answer: The area of the gong is 452.16 cm2.
