I. OBJECTIVE

accomplishing literacy-related tasks

 Teaching materials: Laptop, speaker,
Projector, treasure boxes, drawing materials,
indigenous materials found in the area,
picture of a compass
IV. PROCEDURE
A. REVIEW  Using the compass the learners will tell the
direction of the given example that the
teacher will be asking to them.

 Where is the way going to Landing? Where


is the way going to the police station? Etc.
B. MOTIVATION  The learners will follow the directions that
Mr. Jack Hartmann will tell to them by
watching a short video and the learners will
do it.

C. PRESENTATION  Today we are going to learn about following


simple written directions.
D. DISCUSSION  In following directions, we need to be
careful so that you’ll not get in trouble.
 The teacher will introduce her friend Dora
the explorer.
 Dora will help the pupils to find the
treasures. She will take the pupils to an
island that is full of treasures by following
the written directions that they will be
encountering in their way.
 What do we need to find the treasure?

Directions:
The 1st treasure is found at the Eastern
part of your school. But before you are
going to get it, you need to draw gongs
or any musical instruments used by your
ancestors. (Integration of Arts)
Now, turn right to the northern part of
your school. The second treasure is
found at the avocado tree in your school.
But before getting it you need to play
the “ Luksong baka”. All of the
members should play. (Integration of
P.E)
Lastly, go back to the southern part of
your school and enter to your classroom
because , The treasure is found inside
your classroom. Before getting it you
need to sing the song “ Titit a Pima’tuk
di Kiyew” will clapping your hands.
(Integration of Music)
 After getting the treasures they will bring it
to the classroom and the teacher will open
the treasures and present to the class.
 The treasures are the indigenous materials
that is found in the locality.
 Why do we need to treasure this things?
E. FIXING SKILLS  The learners will have a Group activity.
They will follow the written directions that
the teacher will be giving to them.
 Draw a Circle at the middle of your paper,
inside the circle write “Mother Earth”.
 After that draw a mountain with many trees
at the northern part of the paper.
 In the southern part of the paper draw a
river with clean water and many fishes.
 Draw another mountain without trees at the
eastern part of your paper.
 Draw a polluted river with many garbage in
the western part of your paper.
 Paste it on the board.
F. GENERALIZATION Creative and Critical Thinking
 What will happen if we do not follow
directions?
 Why do we need to follow directions?
V. EVALUATION Directions: Draw your house at the center of your
paper, in the eastern part draw your school, to the
northern part draw your church, to the western part
draw a police station, and to the southern part of
your paper draw a hospital.

VI. ASSIGNMENT  Directions: Draw a letter Y. Put the letter


Y inside a standing rectangle.
Draw 3 stars in each corner
and a sun in the middle. The
sun should have 8 rays.
