Course Number and Title IAE101 - CIVIL TECHNOLOGY 1


Course Credit 3 Units
Course Component 2 hour lecture; 3hours laboratory, 5 hours/week; 90 hours/semester
Course Description
This course includes basic knowledge of carpentry, woodwork, bench work operations in furniture and cabinet making covering basic knowledge of
woodwork, functional knowledge of planning projects, and ability to perform wood work operations. It also includes simple layout work construction and
application of simple joints, linear measurements in metric system, furniture design and construction and wood finishing.

Course Goal This course aims to develop the students’ knowledge, skills and attitude in carpentry and wood work, apply these skills in household repair and maintenance.
