CONCEPTS of what was learned from lesson 1. Based on the discussions, kindly state
in at least FIVE (5) SENTENCES in your own words what you learned from the
lesson.
I learned that: In previous sessions being lectured for lesson 1 that I learned some
of the concepts about globalization and its positives and negatives of its
implementation on the modern world. I realized, that Globalization boosts pupils'
ability to acquire and apply knowledge. Globalization improves learners' ability to
access, analyze, adapt, and use information, as well as their ability to think
independently, exercise sound judgment, I also discovered that Manfred Steger's
definition of globalization had a significant impact on people. We will also be able
to distinguish between the terms globalization and globalism. Globalization aids
organizations in locating more cost-effective manufacturing methods. It also
increases global competition, which reduces costs and gives buyers more choices.
Globalism is an idea that people, information, and things should be able to freely
travel beyond national borders. Lastly, Arjun Appadurai's explanation of multiple
globalization enables me to better grasp the benefits and drawbacks of
globalization in our economy and, more importantly, in our lives. POGOs, on the
other hand, have suspicion on our country, as evidenced by the fact that they are
built near Armed Forces of the Philippines and government-related
establishments.
