STUDENTS IN SCIENCE

Rationale :
Learning is an active process. Students for the past two years were not really able to
learn in science since it was modular.Thus, most of the students in Junior High and Senior High
in Datu Pangolima Integrated School today have lack interest in science because they do not
have prior knowledge. According to Gabennesch, H. (1992), students must be able to talk about
what they are learning, write about it, relate it to past experiences, and apply it to their daily
lives. Thus, students need to make learning part of themselves.
The Science Department of Datu Pangolima Integrated School would like to conduct various
activities that will provide the students with a venue for learning science, technology, and
environment outside the four walls of the classroom.

Objective/s :
1. To evaluate the knowledge and skill of the students to actual and real-life
situation
2. Provide the students with a venue for learning science, technology and
environment outside the four walls of the classroom;
3. Foster camaraderie and development leadership skills among the Science
officers;
