Introduction:

To understand what modal verbs are for suggestions, advice, and

predictions, we must know what a modal verb is. A modal verb is a
verb that helps us give meanings to sentences.
They act as auxiliaries; for example, we need to ask permission or
ask the other person to do something for us. There are various
modal verbs, but we will focus on advice, suggestion, and
prediction.
The so-called modal verbs in English or modal auxiliaries are frequent special verbs in English. They
are used to determine the framework of an action: possibility, obligation, capacity, necessity,
permission, prohibition, suggestion, inference, certainty, etc. In short, it is essential to master them to
understand English grammar since models allow you to state important information with very few
words.

Grammatical characteristics of modal auxiliaries

Modal verbs are not verbs like the others: they do not have an infinitive, an imperative,
an -ING form, or a 3rd person singular ending. They are a kind of “super” irregular verbs.
How to combine manners?

The conjugation of modal verbs is special because, apart from dare and need, these auxiliaries do not have:

-nor infinitive: we will never say to can

-nor imperative: it will never be required that someone Can!
-no way -ING: He's caning is never used
-nor endings in the 3rd person singular: you would never write He cans

Also remember that they can be used without the verb they qualify, which is then implicit. For example: Can
you play the piano? Yes, I can! = Do you know how to play the piano? Yeah!

“SUGGESTIONS”
What are modals SUGGESTIONS?

There are numerous ways to make suggestions in English. The use of modal verbs, such
as should or could, to verbs as suggest or recommend. The choice of specific vocabulary
depends not only on the context but also on the level of formality of the speech and the
attitude of the speaker.

How is it used?

The modal verb could is a modal verb because it must always be accompanied by
another verb with its own meaning and in the infinitive mood (without to). Could is the
past or conditional form of can and would be translated as “could” or “knew.” It is usually
used in the English second conditional. The negative form of this modal verb is couldn't
and has the same meaning and uses as could.
“Structure”

Difference between advice and suggestion
"Advice" is a noun. It is something you should do because it's good for you. For example:

When I need advice, I ask my father.

My father always gives me good advice.

"Suggestion" is a noun, and "suggest" is a verb. To suggest something to someone means to tell them
what they could do or to give them an idea. For example:

My friend suggested that I wear a jacket because it would get a bit cold later on.
In addition, the advice modals have two other modals: ought to and had better.
The difference is that ought to is used to express a more objective point of view. It is
related in contexts to laws, regulations, etc., and express what would be morally correct.
The had better is used to give advice when we believe that if you act in the opposite way,
there will be negative consequences.
Predictions
What are modals predictions?
A prediction is an idea of something that will happen in the future. We use WILL to make
predictions based on what we think. For example, if I suppose or believe that life will be easier
in the future, I use WILL.

How is it used?

Will refers to things we believe, but we are not 100% sure of the present and the future. And
between may and MIGHT, the only difference is that on the scale of the probability of
something happening, may is higher because it is more likely to happen while using might
implies that perhaps the action will not happen or has very little probability of consequences.

I think – I believe life will be easier in the future.

We can use the expressions I think or I believe to accompany the sentences.

All three are used to indicate some possibility or prediction, what will help us differentiate them will be the context and
certain key words.
