    I. Cite five (5) descriptions about Dr. Jose Rizal with brief explanations limited to one
    sentence.
    a. He was known for his writings and novels i.e. Noli Me Tangere and El
    Filibusterismo.
    b. Rizal was considered to be one of our national heroes because of how he
    envisioned the independence of the Filipinos through his writings.
    c. One of the many Filipino heroes to seek liberation against the ruling of the
    Spaniards.
    d. Through his writings, he was the one to lead the nationalist movement taking his
    first step towards the country’s independence.
    e. Rizal is a polyglot and a multi-faceted poet, an intellectual, and a nationalist.

    II. 1. Compare and contrast the views of those who are in favor and against of the R.A 1425.
    Would similar arguments still have an impact today? (Limit your answer in 3 sentences
    only) 15pts.
    ● In terms of whether similar arguments would still have an impact today,
    there is a chance that it would remain relevant since we are talking about
    academic freedom and national identity. However, if we are dealing with
    the preciseness and accuracy of the context, it would likely not be similar
    as such there is a change in our political and educational system.
    2. Reflect on your secondary education: Did your school comply with RA 1425? How
    effective is Rizal Law in instilling patriotism and nationalism among secondary school
    students? 15 pts.
    ● During my secondary education, I encountered several teachings about
    Rizal works as I stepped forward. However, I can not assume how
    effective the Rizal Law is in instilling patriotism and nationalism among
    all the secondary students because this may change over time as society
    norms and educational techniques improve. Students are exposed to a
    wide range of influences in the age of digital media and globalization,
    which can either enhance or undermine their sense of nationalism.
