X Project-based and/or Publishable: Students are completing projects to demonstrate their learning
and the projects can be shared outside of the classroom. This objective could be reached by
displaying the project on the school’s morning newscast, posting the project to the classroom
blog, presenting it to another class, or publishing it via an outside source.

Lesson idea implementation:

The students will create their own E-Book using PowerPoint, and it will be introduced by
showing the book I wrote. I will make the students aware of their goals by listing out the
goals for all students on the board and going over each one. They will utilize the technology
by creating their own book. If a student is having a hard time reaching a goal, then I will pull
them over to the group table and work with them one-on-one. The teacher will be walking
around the room and pulling students over to the table for extra support. Feedback will be
provided to the students when they turn in the E-Book. I will conclude the lesson by forming
a conversation about likes and dislikes.
Managing the technology/engagement: Describe a way to use this technology in a way that
gets students actively involved in authentic tasks and contexts? How will you manage the
classroom behaviors on the technology:
This lesson will promote actively engaging in the task, they will be able to collaborate and
bounce ideas off of one another. I will manage classroom behaviors on the technology by
walking around the room and keeping an eye to make sure all students are on task.

Universal Design for Learning (UDL):

This activity will enhance the learning experience by letting the students be engaged in their
own creativity, and expressing how they understand the standard. This lesson supports the
engagement, representation, and action principle.
Reflecting on enhanced learning:
I feel that the activity I created would be very impactful for the students, because they will be
able to express their understanding of the weather and seasons. I look forward to
implementing the E-Book part of the lesson with my students. The reason I am looking
forward to it because I really want the students to get their hands on technology and put it to
use.
