Objective

At the end of the lesson pupils will be able to

- spell toys based on the pictures

- read and guess the words in the crossword puzzle

Activity

Pre-lesson

Teacher plays the Hangman Game with pupils based on the toys’ from Superminds page 22.

While Lesson

1. Pupils refer to the crossword worksheet. Teacher explains to the pupils on the method to
look for the answers in the crossword puzzle from the pictures below.
2. Pupils will need to colour the correct answers in the crossword puzzle once they find the
answers.
3. Pupils complete the crossword puzzle in different level of guidance.
4. High achievers will make 5 simple sentences describing their favourite toys.
5. Intermediate pupils will colour the toys according to teacher’s list on the board.
6. Low achievers will be able to identify the toys correctly.

Post-Lesson

Pupils take turns to spell the words from their answers.
