THROUGH HOME VISITATION
Part I-SITUATION
Regular reading time among children is not practices especially in this time of new
normal, and there is a need to let the children practice regular reading time in this time of
pandemic. This new normal creating a problem to learners to poor regular reading time.
While the parents are adjusting this new normal setup, their concerns in assisting
their children are valid. They don’t have to worry because the teachers will still be
facilitating their children’s learning by being the learning consultants and ever ready to
supply technical assistance and materials to their parents’ needs in terms of reading
materials concerns.
As parents and teachers, they often wonder if their children are on track for
reading. It is a common belief that once a child has learned letter names and their
corresponding sounds that he must be ready to learn to read. This can be true, but not
always. There are many, many more signs we can refer to when trying to determine
reading readiness. The importance of a child’s success in learning how to read.
In fact, if you have a struggling reader, it could be due to the lack of social,
emotional, physical or cognitive development. Not even the best reading programs, even
those designed specifically to an individual child, can replace an interest in learning to
read. Early reading skills can affect children’s academic success. Reading build empathy
for others, creates a strong vocabulary, and positively affects and boosts your mental and
physical health. It also allows your muscles to relax and slows down your breathing,
leaving you feeling calmer. Adults can prepare children to learn to read many simple
activities every day. Reading out loud to children is the most important activity.
