Our review comments of the above submission are as follows.
1. Coarse Aggregates
• 10% fine value is less than 150kN. Therefore concrete shall not be used in Heavy duty concrete floor
finishes.
• Physical and Chemical properties of 5-20 mm coarse aggregates are comply with the specification
requirements. 5-20mm aggregate supplier mentioned as Sansira Metal Crusher in the test reports.
• LAAV & Drying Shrinkage and Fine content tests are not done
2. Fine Aggregates
• Provided Test reports for Manufactured sand from Sansira Metal Crusher comply with the specification
requirements of Pkg IV& V.
• Sample not tested for fine content.
3. Test results for water & admixture are acceptable.
4. Chloride content & Sulphate content shall be provided
5. Sampling and testing frequency for Fine aggregate, Coarse aggregate, Cement, Water & Admixture shall be
accordance with the project specification.

Kindly get the JAEQR concern regarding whether these attached reports are enough with the Trial Mix Data
sheet for the submission to get the approval for the Mix 17 from INSEE & to close the GO-076.

1. Introduction
We, Siam City Cement (Lanka) Limited intends to expand our business portfolio with the introduction of
INSEE Concrete - high performance ready-mixed concrete to Sri Lanka by Quarter 03, 2018.
Siam City Cement (Lanka) Limited (SCCCL), formerly known as Holcim (Lanka) Limited is the only
cement manufacturer in Sri Lanka, equipped with strategically located integrated cement manufacturing
plant, cement grinding stations, import terminals and warehouses.

2.1 Objectives
Introduce INSEE ready-mixed concrete solutions to Sri Lankan market with high performance concrete,
optimized mix designs, computer aided batching, high tech quality control and high-performance
aggregates.
Introduce innovative and application based concrete solutions to commercial market and value-added
solutions to specific customer needs.

if necessary could be rcquested by customer at the time if submission ofjob and will be provided on the
payment ofan extra charge. Additional copies ofthe report endorsed by the Authorized signatory,could be
madc available at the request ofthe customer within a period of01 year from the date ofissue ofreport, on
a written request by the customer and on payment of an extra charge. No third party can obtain such a report
wilhout written authorization from the customer to ITI.
QUERIES ON REPORT: Customer queries on reports will be entertained only up to a period of 01 year
from the datc of issue of the report.

items alter 01 month from the date of issue of the report.
RETURN Of'TEST ITEMS: Test items wili be returned to the oustomcr at the sole discrction of the I'11
only on a written request by the customer.
LOSS OR DAMAGE: While the ITI cxercises every care in respect of work entrusted to the Institute by
customers, the Institute is not liable for any loss/damage howsoever caused to person/property, including
property enkusted by customer to the Institute whether such loss, damage or delay may have been causcd
by reasons beyond the control of the Institute or otherwise.
LITIGATION: A1l costs associated with litigation or dispute for oral or written lestimony or preparation
of ipqilo or for any other purpose rclated to work provided by the ITI sha1l bc paid by the customer. Such
costs include, but are not limited to howly charges, travel and accommodation, mileage, counscl, lega1 fees
and all other expenses associated with the said litigation and dispute.
CIIANGE OX' CONDITIONS: ITI may at its sole discretion add to or amend thc conditions of this report
at the time of issue of the report and such additions or amendments shal1 be binding on the customer.
