UNIT FIVE SPEECH 10

1) Today, I’d like to talk about manipulating images in magazines or while selling the
product.
2) I’m going to focus on:

a) Methods and techniques

b) Pros and cons that comes with it
c) I will show you my point of view

3) So first let me concentrate on methods and techniques. Nowadays, many companies are
using photoshops to make famous people look alot younger than they actually are. Other
companies are using wealth, fortune and nice bodies to sell the products. Is it okay to show a
different perspective than it is in reality just to sell a product?

4) Next aspects are pros and cons. I think that in order to sell products you need to find the best
way for marketing. Some tools like photoshopping or glamorous things can be helpful and
encouraging not in a bad way. But it is a way of manipulating the real image. So we have to be
careful not to fall for every image.

5) And finally I’ll present to you my point of view. So I think it is an amazing way to profit many
people and to be hurtful towards others. But still some use it in a very manipulative way, so it is
important to remember to not fall for every image or advertisement we see on the internet.

To sum up the most important issue is:

a) Many tools are very useful
b) Photoshopping and glamorous life is still a manipulation technique
c) It is important to remember that not everything that we see on the Internet is real
