4. Present in a group the current issues that affect the implementation of the English
national curriculum with reference to various relevant resources.
5. Discuss critically and reflectively the necessity of the English national curriculum
evaluation, the changes, and the impact of the innovation in an essay.

Curriculum must be relevant to the student. Recognizing several intelligences allows


educators to custom fit the instructional delivery to the child, depending on the child's
particular bent or intelligence, uncovering a full range of abilities. It recognizes students do
not learn in the same way and do not possess the same minds; therefore, they learn,
remember, and perform in different ways. Educators must create genuine understanding
and involve the child in the learning process if learning is to occur.

TASK 1: Written assignment - Individual (30 marks)

With close reference to the above excerpt, write an essay with a length of 1000 words to:
1. identify the concepts, principles and models in English national curriculum design.

2. explain and justify the factors to consider in designing and implementing the

TASK 3: Reflective essay - Individual (10 marks)

Write a critical reflection in a 400-word essay.


1. Discuss critically the necessity of the English national curriculum evaluation, the
changes, and the impact of the innovation.
2. Provide your answers with evidence from various literature.

An excellent product should :


• Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the new directions in the Malaysian
curriculum and issues affecting the implementation.
• Support arguments, with close reference to the Malaysian Education Blueprint (2013-
2025), other related Malaysian curriculum documents and key references.

are met.
3. No duplication of assignments from other continuous assessments is allowed.

assignment).

9. You should adhere to the deadline. Without an approved extension of time, late
submission will be dealt with severely.
10. The continuous assessment carries a total of 50 % marks and will be
assessed based on the marking criteria attached.
