DIVISION TRAINING OF TRAINERS (DTOT) FOR THE HIGHER ORDER THINKING
SKILLS - PROFESSIONAL LEARNING PACKAGE (HOTS-PLP) FOR ENGLISH,
MATHEMATICS, AND SCIENCE VIS-A-VIS NATIONAL LEARNING RECOVERY
PROGRAM (NLRP)- PHASE 1

1. This is to inform the field on the Division Training of Trainers (DTOT) for the Higher
Order Thinking Skills - Professional Learning Package (HOTS-PLP) for English, Mathematics,
and Science vis-a-vis National Learning Recovery Program (NLRP)-Phase 1 on October 17- 20,
2023, 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. at Sampaguita Hall, TCSD Office.
2. This activity aims to:
a. give support to school heads in understanding HOTS and in reflecting these skills in
classroom practices through the development of HOTs items/questions for Science,
Mathematics, and English/Reading subjects;
b. guide school heads in performing pedagogy and assessment practices that promote HOTS
and SOLO;
c. deepen school heads’ conceptual understanding of HOTs and SOLO for bettering
instructional supervision to improve teaching practices and learning outcomes;
and
d. advocate HOTS-SOLO as a strategy in support to National Recovery Learning
Program (NLRP).

3. Participants to this activity are the 73 school heads, 10 Education Program


Supervisor, 10 Public Schools District Supervisors and nationally and regionally trained
teachers. Further, planning meeting with all the trainers shall be conducted on
October 13, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M.
4. Attached in this Memorandum are the following:
a. Enclosure 1- Training Matrix
b. Enclosure 2- List of Trainers and TWG
5. Expenses to be incurred in this activity shall be charged against INSET/HRTD Fund
subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.
