DRAWING II
As a concrete detailer, you are required to prepare a bending schedule for a reinforced concrete wall
shown in Figure 1. The wall is 18000 mm x 4500 mm x 300 mm thick. The wall is divided by a
construction joint at the center. The two panels are joined at the construction joint with Y20 straight
bars at 200 mm centers at each face. Y10 (04) end bars (shape code 38) spaced at 200 mm centers are
used as shown and placed over the vertical bars. The Y10 (05) cap bars (shape code 38) spaced at 200
mm centers are used as shown and placed over the horizontal bars. Use compression lap length for
all these bars. The concrete strength is 30 MPa and the concrete cover is 25 mm.
Reinforcing:
Far side: 20 mm high yield bars at 200 mm centers both ways (use shape code 20).
Near side: 20 mm high yield bars at 200 mm centers both ways (use shape code 20).
Clips: 10 mm high yield bars at 1000 mm centers (use shape code 35).
