Abstract
This Community Service (PKM) aims to increase the knowledge and skills of farmers in Gunung Kupang,
Cempaka District, Banjarbaru City about ecofarming vegetable cultivation. The target audience of PKM is in
the form of counseling for vegetable farmers on how to apply ecofarming to vegetables in Gunung Kupang in
order to increase knowledge and skills for farmers in Cemapaka District, Banjarbaru City. PKM activities
were carried out on August 26, 2023, located in the Gunung Kupang area, Cempaka District, Banjarbaru City
with a total of 20 participants consisting of 5 farmer members and 5 farmer youths and 10 students of the
Agroecotechnology Department of FP ULM and youth organizations in the Cempaka District area of
Banjarbaru City. The PKM results showed an increase in the knowledge and skills of farmers in Cempaka
District, Banjarbaru City regarding the application of ecofarming, especially in preventing leafhopper fly pests
in vegetable cultivation. A total of 70% of participants knew about ecofarming, 80% of participants could
distinguish between ecofarming and organic farming, 80% of participants understood how to apply
ecofarming in vegetable cultivation, 75% of participants understood the basic principles of ecofarming, 85%
of participants knew and recognized leafminer fly pests, 80% of participants knew the characteristics of
plants attacked by leafminer fly pests, 90% of participants knew the natural ingredients to prevent leafminer
fly pest attacks, 90% of participants knew how to prevent leafminer fly pest attacks. and 90% of participants
knew how to prevent pests in an integrated manner.
