As a member of the management team, you are expected to actively support and implement the letter and spirit of Saudi Electricity
Company 5 Star OHS Safety Management System, its Policy, Standards and Procedures. Your assigned duties include the power of
authority and limited delegation and you may appoint persons with the necessary knowledge, competency and experience to assist
you in ensuring reasonable and practicable compliance with the said OHSMS in your area of responsibility.

The duties of this appointment include the following specific instructions / actions that must be carried out by you as set out herein:

1. Develop, implement, enforce and monitor your OHS management system which includes contractors;
2. Ensure sufficient budgetary provision is made for ongoing OHS resources, programs and initiatives;
3. Ensure that all hazards and risks associated with the activities of the unit are identified through ongoing risk assessments, JSP’s
and PTO’s and are managed to as low as reasonable practicable (ALARP);
4. Establish a Risk Register and ensure all risks are entered and regularly updated;
5. Ensure regular OHS is included on the agenda of management meetings;
6. Develop, report and regularly review department OHS Strategic plans, objectives and KPI’s;
7. Ensure standards and practices comply with legislative requirements;
8. Ensure that specific OHS responsibilities, authority, reporting relationships are documented, understood and applied to ensure
OHS continuous performance. Include OHS performance in annual appraisals;
9. Ensure that there are effective employee consultation process for occupational health and safety issues;
10. Chair a monthly OHS committee meetings with equal management and OHS Rep. representation;
11. Actively participate in workplace OHS inspections, internal audits, management reviews and investigations and actively track
and closeout findings;
12. Ensure that only persons with the required level of training, qualification, certification and/or experience are engaged to
perform OHS tasks and that necessary OHS training is conducted and recorded;
13. Compile weekly and monthly OHS Statistics, submitting written reports to Top Management; and
14. Develop and implement department /site specify emergency plans that ensure appropriate personnel and equipment is
available, and that regular emergency drills are conducted, including stakeholders.
