ECO-FASHION SHOW

People who Understand and Love Science Enigma (P.U.L.S.E.) is one of the organizations in
the School of Teacher Education and has been awarded and recognized as a science and
environmental organization in the University. The organization continuously conducts various
science and environment-based activities either within the campus or other private and public
schools in the province.
As scheduled by the organization (PULSE) to hold the Science Month Celebration 2023 on
September 20 & 28, 2023, PULSE is directed to organize an eco-fashion show with a theme
TIMELAPSE: Accentuating the Eras of Science Clubbing. In this regard, we are inviting
every school to join the said fashion show. The guidelines are as follows:

Mechanics:
I. Each school should send three pairs of male and female participants/models for each
category: ethnic, fun, and futuristic wear.

II. The PULSE organization in promoting climate and environmental awareness would like
to encourage the contestants to utilize recyclable and indigenous materials. At most 70% must
be made from recyclable and indigenous materials while 30% may be allotted for any materials
of preference.

1. Recyclable materials include those of plastics (bottles, cellophanes, and other variants),
papers, cartons, wood, and metals. Note: Please take caution in incorporating metals or woods,
it may cause injuries to the models.

2. Indigenous materials include woods, metals, bamboo craft, seashells, coconut shells,
grass, rocks, twigs, rice stalks, leaves, etc. Please take precautionary measures when handling
these materials.

III. Make-up is allowed in the competition to enhance the overall presentation of the model.

IV. For the catwalk presentation, models should walk by pair to showcase their confidence
and grace in wearing their outfits for each category.

V. As part of the fashion show, the models are required to introduce their outfit and provide
the details of the design, as well as its overall relevance to climate change and environmental
awareness. They are required to include the following parts:
1. Names
2. Organization
3. Description of the outfit (2 mins.)
4. Relevant statement related to climate change and the environment. (3 mins.)
