B-Definition : A cover letter is a formal document typically submitted alongside a job


application or a resume when applying for a job or internship.
C-Purpose :
- Introducing yourself to the prospective employer
-Expressing your interest in the position
-Highlighting your qualifications and skills.
D-Characteristics :
-Address the recipient: Beginning with the proper formal salutation
-Introduction:
-Stating the specific position applied for
-Conveying enthusiasm for the probable role .
-Body: Highlighting the qualifications, skills, and experiences
-Customization: Adapting the letter to the job description
-Addressing gaps or concerns : Dealing positively with the possible gaps
-Closing: Expressing both politeness and professionalism
-Signature : Signing the letter whether it is a soft or a hard copy
-Length and format : Concise letter with legible font
