    Based on the experience of developing and delivering your instructional unit, list three short-
    term goals to improve specific areas of your teaching practice based on the unit of instruction
    and describe your plan to reach each short-term goal.

    1. Slow down the pace. During my lesson planning I will create
    lessons that are extended through a 30–45-
    minute teaching for ELA or Math so that I
    am not running out of things to do when I
    finish teaching the lesson.

    2. Rehearse questions before delivering. Review questions before asking them and
    make sure I don’t forget them. I can write
    them down on paper and look back at it if I
    forget.

    3. Create engaging lessons. Instead of teaching only from a teacher’s


    edition, I will create engaging lessons in
    between.

    Long-Term Goals: Teachers who are dedicated to their profession and to improving the lives of
    students will continually look for ways to grow and learn. The best way to ensure that learning is
    prioritized is to create a long-term goal. Create one long term goal that is specific and
    measurable. Make sure to discuss the following:
    Long-Term Goal:
    Rationale: Why did you choose this goal? How I chose these goals because I want to provide
    do you expect it to improve the outcomes of your my students with the best learning experience
    future students? they can receive. I want instruction time to be
    valuable and meaningful.
    End Date: By when do you expect to accomplish This goal will be an ongoing goal for all of
    this goal? the 2nd quarter.
