- Why you admire this person. Tại sao em lại ngưỡng mộ người ấy.
1. WHO the person is
Hãy mở đầu phần trả lời bằng một trong hai mẫu câu sau đây
- Well then to start with I’d like to talk about + tên người mà các bạn chọn
- Right to begin with I’m going to tell you about + tên người mà các bạn chọn
Tiếp đó, em hãy chọn 1 trong 3 mẫu câu sau để giải thích ngắn gọn tại sao lại
ngưỡng mộ người đó.
- whom I deeply admire for …...
- whom I have great admiration for …..
- who is widely admired for …..
Trong đó, (a) và (b) thích hợp dùng cho nhóm người quen; (c)thích hợp dùng để
nói về nhóm người lạ như doanh nhân, ca sĩ, người nổi tiếng v..v
Ví dụ:
Describe a person you know a lot.
Hãy mô tả một người mà em biết rõ → Chủ đề thuộc nhóm người thân quen. Cô
sẽ trả lời câu đầu tiên như sau:

have deeply admiration for his great intelligence.
2. HOW you knew this person/the relationship between you and that
person?
- Nếu chủ đề thuộc nhóm người thân quen,

nhớ rất rõ rằng tôi gặp anh ta/ cô ta lần đầu …. năm trước ở….
- Nếu topic rơi vào nhóm người lạ,

ago at/ when….: Tôi nhớ rất rõ rằng tôi đọc về anh ta/ cô ta lần đầu tiên ở trên

Describe a businessman that you admire: Mô tả một doanh nhân mà em ngưỡng
mộ. Chủ đề này có thể đi theo cả 2 hướng: người lạ hoặc người quen
I remember really vividly that I first read about him on the Internet about 2
years ago when I was at the second year of college: Tôi nhớ rất rõ rằng tôi đọc
về anh ta lần đầu tiên ở trên mạng khoảng 2 năm trước khi tôi học năm thứ 2 ở
đại học.
3. WHAT kind of person he/she is
Mô tả về ngoại hình và tính cách
Ngoại hình : he/she looks +
 plump, a little on the large side, slightly overweight
 quite slim, fairly petite,
 rather tall, a bit taller than me,

 attractive, good-looking, beautiful, handsome, lovely, pretty, cute, nice;

 a pretty girl; a beautiful woman; a handsome man; a good-looking man
(woman, girl, boy);
 well-dressed; nicely dressed; casually dressed; poorly dressed; elegant;
fashionable;

( lưu ý ngoại hình chỉ mô tả tổng quát và tính cách phải đi sâu chi tiết mở rộng )

- Giải thích rằng người đó rất “smart”/ thông minh,

And what I would just like to say that I think he’s really intellectually smart and
quick-witted, possessing/ with a good sense of humor: Và tôi muốn nói thêm
rằng tôi nghĩ anh ta/ cô ta rất thông minh, nhanh trí, với một khiếu hài hước
tuyệt vời.
- Giải thích rằng người đó rất “kind”/ tốt bụng,
Furthermore/ On top of that, he was well-known/ held in great regard by all in
the community for his kind, considerate and generous nature: Thử thực hành ví
dụ sau đây nhé:

kind, generous...bằng các tính từ mô tả tính cách khác
4. WHY you admire this person
Với cue cuối cùng này, các em hãy lần lượt sử dụng ba mẫu câu sau đây
- Eventually, as regards the question why…, what I have to mention here is that/
I would like to explain that/ I suppose I should really highlight the fact that I
learned a lot of important/ valuable/ useful lessons from him about (patience
and perseverance)
Cuối cùng, để trả lời câu hỏi tại sao, tôi muốn nhấn mạnh rằng tôi đã học được
rất nhiều bài học bổ ích từ anh ta/ cô ta về (sự kiên nhẫn và bền bỉ)
- Whenever facing/ running into/ experiencing any difficulties and challenges at
work/ in life, I would look to him/ her for inspiration and guidance (or) for
quality (career) advice and encouragement.
Mỗi khi phải đối mặt với những khó khăn và thử thách trong cuộc sống, tôi đều
tìm đến anh ta/ cô ta để có thêm cảm hứng, và định hướng hoặc để có thêm
những lời khuyên và sự động viên.

You should say:
 Who is he/she?
 What relation this person is to you?
 What are your first memories of this person?
 How often you see this person?
 Explain why you really admire this person?
e. Describe a famous person
You should say:
 Who this person is.
 How you know about this person.
 What this person is famous for.
 Why you are interested in this person.
