1. A picture illustrating the Occupational Health and Safety
(OHS) Policy will be flashed on the screen.
2. All students need to stand up and yell ‘APPROVED” if it
shows compliance with the OHS Policy.
3. Then, sit down and yell “DISAPPROVED” if it is against the
OHS Policy when working in CSS.
B. Establishing a purpose 1.4.2 Use a range of teaching strategies that enhance learner
for the lesson achievement in literacy and numeracy skills.

1.5.2 Apply a range of teaching strategies to develop critical and

creative thinking, as well as higher-order thinking skills.

Using the picture puzzle, each group will arrange the puzzle pieces
to form pictures of the computer system and hardware.

Tasks Instructions:
1. Each group will be given a picture puzzle.
2. They need to arrange the puzzle pieces correctly to form a
picture related to the topic.
3. After the picture revealed, name it by decoding the given
number to its corresponding letter. (For example 1=A, 2 = B,
3=C……..)
4. Three minutes will be allotted to do the activity.
5. This activity will be graded using this criteria:
Speed:
First- 5 points
Second – 4 points

1. Are you familiar with the pictures that you formed?
2. How you are able to arrange the pictures correctly?
3. How about words that you formed, what are those?
4. Where do you usually see those in the pictures?
5. Look at the pictures carefully, how will you describe a
computer system?
C. Presenting examples/ 1.4.2 Use a range of teaching strategies that enhance learner
instances of the new lesson achievement in literacy and numeracy skills.

Let the students do this activity to see how familiar they are with
the computer hardware:

Task Instructions:
1. There must be one representative from each group every
round.
2. A riddle will be flashed and the player should get the answer
out from the box.
3. Once the teacher says “Riddle Set Go!” they may get and
search the picture of hardware in the box.
4. The first group to answer and get the correct picture of hardware
will receive 2 points each round.

The following are the riddles and their corresponding answers.

1. I got keys but I can't open doors. I got a board on which
letters are carved. I have space but have no room. You can
enter but not come in.
-KEYBOARD

2. I am an animal but can't make a sound. You can move me all

around. I do not live, but I follow your commands. What am
I?
-MOUSE

3. Camera? Screen? Everything is seen in my face - words,

videos, pictures, and more. I am a tube where shows and
documents are revealed on click.
