IV SUBJECT MATTER Numbers and Number Sense: Counting Numbers From 0 to 100

V PROCEDURE Details the steps and activities the teachers and learners will do during the lesson
towards achievement of the lesson’s objectives. It should clearly show the activities
and steps in the different parts of the lesson, that is BEFORE THE LESSON,
DURING THE LESSON, and AFTER THE LESSON.

A. Before the Lesson

Review/Motivation Greet the students and start the period with the song “Let’s Count to 100” by Super
Simple Song. The students sings along.

B. During the Lesson

Presentation The teacher will ask the students what they feel in singing the song. The teacher also
will ask the students about what did they observe in the song or video that they
watched. Then the teacher will proceed to the discussion. The teacher will show the
students the real Philippine peso coins to 100-peso bill the let them observe and
identify the different coins and paper bills they know. And ask them when they use
these moneys.

 1-peso coin
 5-peso coin
 10-peso coin
 20-peso coin
 20-peso bill
 50-peso bill
 100-peso bill
Tell the students to ask their classmates which money has the higher value. Then after
they ask with one another the teacher will ask what they think has the highest value.
Then the teacher will start introducing each one of them. After introducing the
Philippine peso coins up to 100-peso bill. The teacher will use the concept one-to-one
correspondence to count one up to 100.

Abstraction After the discussion, the teacher will ask the students if the lesson was clear and if
they need some clarifications. If they do the teacher will clarify those parts and if
they don’t the teacher if generalize the lesson then ask the students questions to prove
that they learned the lesson.

C. After the Lesson

Application The teacher will give a short written quiz about the lesson.

Closure The teacher will collect the papers and ask the students if they find the quiz easy or
hard, also ask the students if they need some more clarifications about the topic.

VI REMARKS If the teacher didn’t have enough time to present the lesson then the teacher will give
a special activity for the students to practice the lesson that will be pass the next day
as well as continuing her lesson.

VI REFLECTION The teaching strategies that I used were effective all throughout the lesson. The
I students were happy participating and they interact with one another as they ask each
other questions. Also in the evaluation, 90% of the class got the perfect score and the
10% of the class still needs a little practice, and no one got zero.
