1. CLASSIFICATION OF DRAWINGS

In order to more specifically define the contents required for drawings and data and to provide a coordinating
and expediting basis between KBR and the Supplier, drawings and data are classified into Codes A, B, C,
and D. (Note: KBR will be referred to as the Purchaser.)

2. CODE A REQUIREMENTS

2.1 General

Drawings and data in this code contain priority information urgently required by Purchaser to complete
design work and to confirm compliance with specifications.

2.2 CODE A0: SUPPLIER DRAWINGS AND DATA INDEX

2.2.1 The Supplier Drawings and Data Index shall list all anticipated drawings and data inclusive of any
drawings and data from any subsuppliers. THIS INDEX IS REQUIRED AT TIME OF COMMITMENT.

2.2.2 The Supplier shall provide the following information on the index:

a. Correct titles for all drawings and data.


b. Drawing or data numbers where applicable.
c. Code number and suffix letter as described in this procedure.
d. Quantities of drawings or data submitted.

e. Dates on which each drawing or data will be submitted.


f. Drawing status Revision 0 for initial issue or revision number.
g. All other entries such as job number, requisition number, etc., shall be completed by the Supplier.

2.2.3 AN UPDATED INDEX SHALL BE SUBMITTED WITH EACH ISSUE OF DRAWINGS AND DATA.

2.3 CODE A1: DIMENSIONED OUTLINE DRAWINGS

2.3.1 In general, dimensioned outline drawings shall consist of a composite arrangement drawing showing
location and details of all Supplier/Purchaser connections and required clearances for maintenance. The
following paragraphs outline specific requirements for subcategories of flare systems.

a. For flare tips (or burners) and purge seal: In addition to general requirements above, outline drawings
must show materials of construction and important internal details such as refractory lining, internal
baffles and internal piping.

b. For flare stack and derrick structure: In addition to general requirements above, outline drawings must
show Supplier's reference grade elevation and overall height of structure. Base and cross-sectional
dimensions must be shown. Number and proposed location of aircraft warning lights shall be indicated.
Grade mounted major sub-equipment to be arranged and located with respect to the flare stack or
derrick structure. Laydown and access areas required for maintenance or operation of flare shall be
clearly indicated on drawing.

c. For ignition and control panels: In addition to general requirements above, outline drawings must show
major accessories such as purging equipment and rain shields. The type of enclosure (NEMA 4,
NEMA 7, etc.) and the applicable Hazardous Area Classification shall be indicated on the drawing.

d. For major sub-equipment such as fans, winches, drivers etc.: In addition to general requirements above,
the composite outline drawing must show location and orientation of all associated components
including fan(s), winch(es), driver(s), gear(s), coupling(s), clutch, lube oil system, damper, damper
actuator, and base. Drawings must also indicate thermal movements of ducting connections.

2.4 CODE A2: FOUNDATION INFORMATION

Foundation loading diagrams shall be prepared for each piece of equipment requiring foundation support.
Diagrams shall show dimensioned plan views of the equipment base. Diagrams shall include a tabulation of
the horizontal and vertical dead load, live wind load, live earthquake load, live thermal load and any other
applicable live load such as that imposed by the acceleration and deceleration of rotating equipment.
Diagrams shall include statements regarding any short term loads imposed during erection or normal
maintenance.

2.5 CODE A3: FLOW DIAGRAMS

Staged flares shall be furnished with a Supplier supplied Piping and Instrument Diagram (P&ID) showing all
piping, equipment and instrumentation components identified by piping class and equipment and instrument
tag numbers. All major sub-equipment shall be shown on the P&ID.

2.6 CODE A4: ELECTRICAL AND INSTRUMENTATION SCHEMATICS

Where a Supplier provides equipment which includes any instrumentation, instrument connections, valves,
safety devices, or control schemes, these components shall be shown on a schematic diagram identifying
manufacturer and type as well as tabulating respective operating conditions or settings. Data Sheets for
individual instruments and valves as well as catalog cut sheets of each shall be furnished.

2.7 CODE A7: DATA SHEETS

a. Data sheets are required for the flare tip, burners, fans, winches, drivers, all other major sub-equipment
and any instrument/valves furnished. If requested, Supplier must return completed Purchaser Flare
Data Sheets.

b. For staged flares data sheets are required for all Supplier supplied instrumentation and safety relief
devices.

3. CODE B REQUIREMENTS

3.1 General

These drawings and data contain information required by Purchaser to review and confirm overall
compliance of the equipment with the specifications.

3.2 CODE B1: DETAIL DRAWINGS

3.2.1 In general, detailed drawings must be provided for all component parts along with a descriptive parts
list and a drawing indicating the location of all component parts. The detail drawings must reference the
Purchaser's specifications defining the applicable material type and specification, design codes, surface
preparation and painting. The location of all field welds shall be clearly indicated. The following paragraphs
outline specific requirements for subcategories of flare systems.

a. For Flare stacks and derrick structures: Follow general requirements as shown above.

b. For Flare Tips and Burners: In addition to general requirements above, detail drawings must provide
fully dimensioned sectional details of flare and burner tips, pilots, refractory, ignition system, steam
injection equipment and flame detection system.

c. For Purge Seals, Seal Drums and Knock-Out Drums: Follow general requirements as shown above.

d. For Utility Piping Isometrics: In addition to general requirements above, detail drawings must provide
piping and insulation support details.

e. For Ignition and Control Panels: In addition to general requirements above, detail drawings showing
purge details and subpanel layout. Wiring diagrams shall be supplied detailing terminal block location
and Purchaser's connection.

f. For major sub-equipment such as Fans, Winches, Drivers etc: In addition to general requirements
above, detail drawings must include cross sections and details of all fans, winches, drivers, dampers,
seals, bearings, clutches, governors, lube oil system components, and couplings.

3.3 CODE B2: ERECTION/ASSEMBLY DRAWINGS

Drawings or diagrams must indicate all mark numbers, sequence of assembly or erection, and any notes
necessary to ensure satisfactory assembly, preparation for lifting, and erection. For items which are part
shop and part field fabricated, drawings shall indicate the extent of shop and field fabrication. Drawings must
also indicate proper lift points and notes on required lifting device.

3.4 CODE B3: CALCULATIONS

Submittal of calculations is necessary only when requested in the equipment specification.

3.5 CODE B4: PREDICTED PERFORMANCE DATA

3.5.1 Predicted performance information in addition to that shown on data sheets is required as outlined
below:

a. For Radiation Plots: Plots of radiation intensity vs. grade level horizontal distance from flare centerline
shall be supplied based upon the conditions specified in the Flare Data Sheet.

b. For Staged Flare Burners: Fuel pressure versus flared gas capacity curves must be provided showing
the status (open/close) of all stages in sequence from minimum turndown to design capacity.

c. For Major Sub-equipment such as Fans, Winches, and Drivers etc.: The following data must be supplied
as applicable:

1. For constant speed fans the performance curve must include efficiency, static pressure, and
horsepower for the normal operating speed. The performance curve must also indicate the capacity
and surge limit effect of damper closure in 10 degree increments. A separate curve with the same
information is to be provided for winter start-up conditions.

2. For two-speed fans, the performance curve must include efficiency, static pressure and horsepower
for the maximum continuous operating speed. The curve must also indicate the capacity impact of
speed reduction and must indicate the speed/performance curve which passes through the normal
capacity and maximum turndown capacity. If the fan is provided with both two-speed motor and a
damper for capacity control, performance curves must be provided to indicate the combined degree
of control. The dampered performance at maximum continuous speed and at minimum speed
should be provided.

3. Fan speed/torque curves must be provided indicating the starting torque required for winter start-up
with damper open and with damper closed.

4. Motor drive speed/torque curves must be provided for 100% and 80% voltage.

5. Turbine drive steam chest pressure versus power output must be provided. Curve should also
indicate the impact of hand valves on power output.

d. Utility Consumption: Normal and Design consumption of fuel, steam, electricity, power air, instrument
air, nitrogen, etc., shall be provided.

e. Welding Procedure Specifications and Procedure Qualification Reports shall be submitted by the
Supplier prior to commencement of welding.

3.6 CODE B6: SHIPPING/TRANSPORTATION DATA

3.6.1 Shipping and packing shall be in accordance with Purchaser Technical Standard MB1-4TS. These
documents may include the following:

a. Lifting diagram.
b. Site receiving/handling instructions.
c. Site storage requirements.
d. Shipping and packaging details.

4. CODE C REQUIREMENTS

4.1 General

Drawings and data in this code contain information for contract compliance, record purposes and for use by
the equipment user.

4.2 CODE C0: SUPPLIER QUALITY PLAN

4.2.1 A detailed plan developed by the Supplier that chronologically details all manufacturing operations and
the corresponding inspection/testing activities as required by the code(s) of construction, the Purchase Order
and the Supplier's own quality procedures. The Supplier shall also incorporate into the Quality Plan, the
Purchaser's inspection activities defined in the Purchaser's Inspection and Test Plan.

a. A detailed Supplier Quality Plan shall be submitted to the Purchaser for review prior to scheduling the
Pre- Inspection meeting. A Pre-Inspection Meeting shall not be held until the Supplier Quality Plan has
been reviewed by the Purchaser.

b. The Supplier Quality Plan will be discussed in detail at the Pre-Inspection Meeting. Purchaser
comments and modifications to the Supplier Quality Plan shall be finalized at the Pre-inspection
Meeting.

c. The Supplier Quality Plan shall be revised in accordance with the agreements set forth in the Pre-
Inspection Meeting and resubmitted to the Purchaser for final acceptance.

4.3 CODE C2: TEST REPORTS (MANUFACTURERS DATA REPORTS/RECORDS)

a. Mill test reports showing chemical analysis and physical test results suitably identified with part number
and description.

b. Impact test reports.

c. ASME Code papers.

d. Weld maps shall be submitted and accepted by Purchaser prior to fabrication.

e. Performance test reports submitted shall reflect the test requirements as specified in the equipment
specification. The report shall state the test objectives, procedures used, equipment used during test,
test data produced, and test results.

f. Full documentation of non-destructive testing including sketch showing locations.

4.4 CODE C3: MANUALS (INSTALLATION-MAINTENANCE-OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS)

The Supplier shall submit the specified number of copies of a composite manual which shall apply to the
principal equipment and all sub-equipment. The manual shall specify all necessary recommended
procedures or practices the Supplier indicates should be followed regarding all aspects of equipment
installation, maintenance, and operation.

4.5 CODE C4: GOVERNMENTAL AND THIRD PARTY REQUIREMENTS

All data such as design calculations, test certificates, and performance data required by governmental
authority or third parties, where such third parties have been engaged, shall be submitted.

4.6 CODE C5: MATERIAL SAFETY DATA SHEETS (MSDS's)

Labeling and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) shall be provided in accordance with the Terms and
Conditions of Purchase Order. Number of copies furnished shall be as listed on SDR-2MB-7-YYYY.

5. CODE D REQUIREMENTS

5.1 General

Spare parts and parts list

5.2 CODE D1: SPARE PARTS

Priced recommended spare parts listing shall be submitted which applies to the principal equipment and all
sub-equipment. Unless otherwise specified, quantities shall be sufficient for one year's operation.

5.3 CODE D2: PARTS LIST

The Supplier shall provide a complete list of all parts shipping as an assembly or shipping loose with the
assembly.
