Sharks are a group of fish. They look like marine mammal but they are a type of fish. There
are some similarities as well as differences between sharks and bony fish. The skeletons of
sharks are made of cartilage instead of bones. Sharks have gills which help them to breathe.
Water moves over the gills so that sharks get oxygen. There are almost 400 different kinds of
sharks. Sharks average life span is 20-30 years. Their colour, size and different qualities make
them unique.
