the EATS wiring harness and its connectors.

Pin Configuration

Procedure

A2CU+ 62 pin connector:

• The connector has a lever/slide mating/ non-mating aid. Before interconnection, the lever
must be moved into pre-locking position (1).
• Take care, that the right polarisation and coding fits to the counterpart as shown in (2).
• Pay attention that the locking slide is in final locked position (3). Otherwise, the lever might be
destroyed during mating process caused by the high handling force.

Tank – Interface 47 pin connector:

• To mate the male and female connectors, the male keys and female keyways must align as
shown in figure (1). Once aligned, it is pushed until it reaches the inner base of the connector
and the Coupling Ring is screwed until the guides are observed through the holes in the Cou-
pling Ring as shown in figure (2).
• Polarized indicators serve as guides to make the connection between the connectors, each
connector has an internal guide that makes the holes of the cavities aligned.

Mounting of fixing slide of 21 pin connector:

Proper Mounting:
• At the beginning of mounting, a tilt of
maximum ±15 degree is allowed to find
the right track.
• When the slide is engaged by approx.
5mm to 10mm in the housing, it may
only be pushed into the locked position
with a tilt of max ± 2 degree.

Improper Mounting:

• If the slide assembly on the tab housing

is attempted with a large tilt, the guiding
grooves will not find the guiding ribs of
the tab housing. This will lead to defor-
mation or expanding of the slide or even
the slide may break.

21 pin EATS female connector:

• The connectors have a lever as a mating and non-mating assistance.

• Before connecting the lever, it has to be brought into the pre-locked position (1). After the
connector has been put on the counterpart, the connection will be closed completely with the
aid of the lever.
• The correct locking of the lever is signalized by a “click” noise and a perceptible snapping in.
