Ratna Nidhi Charitable Trusts Women Empowerment Project
While everyone has been adversely impacted, for women, in India, the challenge
has been worse who have lost the only earning members in their family.
This Project proposes to empower women by providing skill based livelihoods
training ensuring economic independence of 200 women adversely impacted due to
the covid pandemic. The women will be trained in BPO- Business Process
Outsourcing, BFS- Banking and Finance Service, and Beautician Courses.
These courses have been selected for training women considering the employability
in the city of Mumbai.
Only selected interested women will be considered for the course who will be
willing to complete the course. These women would be from underprivileged
background who have been adversely impacted due to the covid pandemic.
Attendance in the course will be compulsory to ensure quick and efficient
placement/ initiation of business.
Objectives –
To train 250 women in livelihoods training and provide relevant placements
To ensure at least 70% of women get placements/ open their businesses post
course completion
Providing funds to start new business
To improve their standard of living and making them independent
Goals –
To train 250 girls and women in BPO- Business Process Outsourcing, BFS-
Banking and Finance Service, Beauty skills, Spoken English and
Personality development training by end of March 2024
3. Assured placement
Before the onset of project, a list of all industries/ companies/ organisations will
be made. Discussion will be initiated; rapport will be built with them explaining
the purpose of our project. This will be coupled with making CVs, conducting
mock interviews, etc.
4. Monitoring and Evaluation- Each course will be monitored on a daily basis.
This will be undertaken by Ratna Nidhi Managers. Monitoring parameters will
include
1. Daily monitoring for attendance
2. Learning undertaken by each woman. Providing additional assistance to
women for skilling if required
3. Counselling support will be provided to women to ensure they attend the
course without any other issues
4. Post placement, RNCT will hand hold women for at least 2 months. Women
beginning their own business will be mentored.
