Executive Summary

Grand Packaging Solution (GPS) business is a partnership business that

collaborates with those businesses out there that needs packaging, such as the
Sunshine and Beads Company, Meals N ‘Cup, and Pastry bites. This business aims to
produce good quality kind of packaging for those future partnerships and their current
collaborators Sunshine and Beads Company, Meals ‘N Cup, and Pastry bites.

Grand Packaging Solution (GPS) is a start-up business, therefore there is a lot of

need to innovate and needed to be studied especially the packaging, as well as the
marketing plan, production plan, and financial plan – all of the systems; the said
business would never stop to develop the system to be successful in the field and to
grow in the span of two years. The target partnerships that they’re looking for are those
start-up businesses who are needed of having a supplier of the packaging of their
products, specifically, those having a jewelry business, cake and pastry packaging,
meal packaging, gifts packaging, and even shoes and bags packaging or what we
called the fashion industry, all businesses out there who need a supplier of packaging
for their business.

They will do tie-ups with the Region Eight (8) Department of Trade and Industry
start-up businesses out there who are into part of the Youth Entrepreneurship Program
or what they called “YEP” and even those business establishments out there that need
packaging. They will not focus on one collaborator or partnership though as of the
moment the main focus of their collaboration or partnerships are the Sunshine and
Beads Company jewelry business that their classmates are now into, as well as the
Meals ‘N Cup, and the Pastries bites.

The production might happen temporarily at the house of Ms. Asmolo who is the
founder of this “Grand Packaging Solution (GPS)” business, from sewing the jewelry

packaging to making the boxes of packaging and designing to organizing and so on,
once the business is now into earning or making the profit that’s the time that they will
be looking for a space of the production – until they grow.

The marketing strategy aside from having a social media account especially
Facebook to connect and engage more businesses out there who need a supplier of
packaging, will do the tie-ups with the Department of Trade and Industry Region Eight to
those businesses who are into that program which is the “Youth Entrepreneurship
Program” to be the supplier to those businesses into that program.

Collaborating with the “Sunshine and Beads Company, Meals ‘N Cup, and
Pastries bites.” as the first partnership is a great start-up of the endeavor in the
packaging business of the owners to expose their selves to learn more during the
process of making their packaging on the jewelry packaging business and food boxes
related, to execute the knowledge, skills, and creativity that they Entrepreneurs had.

Lastly, the financial plan aspects since they’re currently a student the capital will
be coming from them which is a total of ten thousand pesos (10,000.00), and that would
be the start-up capital of their packaging business since they are five (5) members in a
group. Though they are looking for investors that can help to sustain those lacking
capital that they need to start up the packaging business, they’re looking for fifty
thousand pesos (50,000.00) to one hundred thousand pesos (100,000.00) of the
investor’s investment – they will be earned through equity or ownership or just interest
on the capital that they invested with the business depending on the agreement that
they will be agreed upon to both parties from the co-owners to the investors.

Industry Analysis

Future Outlooks and Trends

Packaging in this modern era is now in demand especially since all of the
products are now in the packaging though it needed to be unique, functional, safe, and
promote the benefits of the product and reinforce the brand – to be successful in this
field as the owners observe and studies it is needed creativity that can adapt changes
and innovate every time, to be not left behind in this field. Since their first collaborator is
the jewelry business it embodies a “Waraynon” packaging style. It will be a “Waray –
Waray kind of style” that can embody the Tacloban kind of product. Furthermore, the
meals, the cake, and pastries packaging as well will be created according to the match
type of packaging that can be fit into. The packaging styles and designs will depend on
the clients’ or business partners’ decisions in what industry or what kind of packaging
they really wanted to use to make the packaging of their products. Future trends are

Production Plan

Grand Packaging Solution (GPS) is a start-up packaging business with this the
production plan would focus on the materials and the equipment as well as the suppliers
of raw materials. The materials or the equipment that is needed to make the packaging
is the one thing that the owners will prioritize buying for example the “Sewing Machine,
Fabric, and Abaca” since their first business partner is the Sunshine and Beads
Company who are into jewelry business embodying the “Waraynon” kind of jewelry
pouches. As well as the main raw materials of the meals and pastries such as the boxes
and the stickers logo’s. Since “GPS” is a start-up business they will do their best to give
good quality and as well as unique kinds of packaging to their business partner. They
will never stop studying all the aspects of the system to offer the best as much as
possible to their business partner. The suppliers of raw materials that they needed
came from business establishments that resided only in Tacloban City, though the
abaca supplier of them will depend on the availability of their supplier so there are times
that they can buy some other raw materials into business establishments that were near
and available nearby to them.

Marketing Plan

Marketing Strategy

Grand Packaging Solution’s (GPS) marketing strategy uses social media

especially Facebook since it is widely used to engage potential prospects. The
packaging business will not be having a space (or physical store) the production
happens to Ms. Asmolo’s house temporarily once it is needed to get the space and the
productions are growing that’s the time to get the space for the production. The
prospects will be small businesses that are looking for supplies for their products, and
who are into start-ups as well. There will be a collaborative endeavor with the
Department of Trade Region Eight to be part of their program “Youth Entrepreneurship
Program” to connect those businesses out there who’ve been joined to that said
program, to have that possible prospects that can be and be possible that the “GPS”
can be a supplier of those businesses who join into the said program.

Selling/Distribution Strategy

Grand Packaging Solution’s (GPS) physical distribution to the business partners

will be through delivery. It has chosen, this kind of distribution plan or method to make
sure that the packaging of its products is in good hands once they received the
packaging. The supplier of the materials would be delivered as well.

Return of Investment

The investors will receive the ROI depending on the net income for a month or
one whole year, for example, the total Net Income for the year 2023 is 947,705 pesos.
Since investors have fifty percent shares in the business, the owners will multiply the
net income into their respective shares, the sample solutions are listed below;

Net Income: 947,705.00 Total shares of computed fifty percent:

473,852.50

We will multiply the fifty percent shares Since they are five investor’s they will be
from the net income having a ten percent shares, so we will
multiply the computed result of shares of
947,705.00 * 0.5 fifty percent into ten percent, and it is:
= 473,852.50
473,852.50 * 0.1 = 47,385.25

So the investors will receive a 47,385.25

in a one year of net income.
