Internal surfaces shall be dry brushed and vacuum cleaned. After cleaned surface, residual dust level shall be checked and dust rating shall be level 2 or better in accordance with ISO 8502-3 as per SAES-H-004 Para 8.4.1. 2. Cleaned surfaces shall be primed or coated before the surface condition degrades below the specified cleanliness level requirement as per SAES-H-004 Para 8.4.2. 3. After blasting, test the substrate for the chloride content. Residual chloride shall not exceed 40 mg/m? for external and 20 mg/m? for internal coating. Wash down the surface with sweet water to remove chloride contamination. Chloride test shall follow the water wash down until the correct value is achieved in accordance with ISO 8502-6 as per SAES-H-004 Para 8.4.3. 4. Abrasive blast cleaned surfaces shall be re-inspected prior to priming or coating if the surfaces are held for more than 4 hours after blasting. Correction shalll be done and retested before coating application as per SAES-H-004 Para 8.4.4. 5.
