II. INTRODUCTION:

Judo, known as the art of gentle way, is a traditional Japanese martial art revered for its non-aggressive approach. With its
intricate techniques and profound philosophies, it stands as a distinct endeavor that harmoniously combines physical prowess
with mental and moral discipline. As a result, it offers significant advantages both within and outside the training setting.
Through embracing the principles of Judo, individuals cultivate not only physical strength but also the attributes necessary to
gracefully, compassionately, and resiliently navigate life's challenges.

III. AIM:

To optimize the proficiency of JUDO BAGUIO ATHLETES and ENTHUSIAST in both Kata and Refereeing, thereby ensuring
favorable impacts particularly during official exhibitions and competitions.

IV. OBJECTIVES:

1. To maintain the YMCA of the City of Baguio as the training ground for JUDO BAGUIO ATHLETES and be able to partner
with the Philippine Judo Federation (PJF) under the umbrella of the National Sports Association (NSA), Philippine
Sports Commission (PSC), Philippine Olympic Committee (POC), International Judo Federation (IJF), Judo Union of Asia
(JUA), and other sports organization in various relevant activities;

2. To allow the Judo practitioners to be familiar with the KATA Techniques in preparation for other prestigious local, national,
and international tournaments;

3. To produce national and international Judo referees from our local clubs; and

4. To cultivate physical, mental, and spiritual well-being, and to foster a sense of dedication towards promoting, nurturing,
and imbuing not only athletic skill and sportsmanship, but also the fundamental principles of the Christian faith, youth
empowerment, and a spirit of universal kindness and selflessness.

SEMINAR GUIDELINES

I. QUALIFICATIONS FOR PARTICIPANTS

1. Participants should be a Judo practitioner and knowledgeable about the basic principles of Judo;
2. Participants must be physically and mentally fit to join the event;
3. Participants must register to the secretariat prior to the event and pay the corresponding fee to the
officer-in-charge;
4. For the REFEREE SEMINAR, the participants should meet the requirement of being a brown belter or higher
but needs to be promoted to 1st DAN BLACK to be certified; and
5. For the KATA SEMINAR everyone is eligible regardless of belt or rank .

II. EQUIPMENT

a. Participants are requested to bring their own judogi

III. REGISTRATION AND SUBMISSION OF ENTRIES

1. Registration shall be done as scheduled before the seminar and pay the corresponding fee required from
every participant and for the 2-day event. To ensure promptness, please register online and pay via GCASH
or bank transfer;
2. A team may register unlimited number of players; and
3. Entry forms shall be filled and submit personally through google drive on or before 24 November 2023 at
11:59 PM.

CONDITION, AND I/WE AM/ARE NOT AWARE OF ANY PHYSICAL INFIRMITY THAT WOULD PLACE MY/OUR CHILD/WARD
AT RISK IN PARTICIPATION IN ANY WAY WITH THE JUDO BAGUIO CLUB

3. I/WE UNDERSTAND THAT THE JUDO BAGUIO TEAM, PHILIPPINE JUDO FEDERATION, YMCA OF BAGUIO SHALL TAKE
APPROPRIATE AND REASONABLE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS AND MEASURES TO HELP ENSURE THE SAFETY OF MY/OUR
CHILD/WARD

4. I HEREBY RELEASE JUDO BAGUIO TEAM, PHILIPPINE JUDO FEDERATION, YMCA OF BAGUIO FROM ANY AND ALL LIABILITY
FROM PROPERTY DAMAGE, PERSONAL INJURIES, OR OTHER CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR IN CONNECTION WITH MY CHILD’S
PARTICIPATION IN TRAINING, COMPETITIONS, AND OTHER EXTRA-CURRICULAR, INCLUDING CLAIMS THAT ARE KNOWN
AND UNKNOWN, FORESEEN AND UNFORESEEN, FUTURE OR CONTINGENT.

I HAVE READ AND UNDERSTAND THE ACTIVITIES MY CHILD/CHILDREN WILL BE PARTICIPATING IN:

I AUTHORIZE JUDO BAGUIO TEAM, PHILIPPINE JUDO FEDERATION, YMCA OF BAGUIO OFFICIALS IN ATTENDANCE TO SELECT
AND SECURE MEDICAL ATTENTION AS MAY BE NECESSARY FOR MY CHILD AS A RESULT OF AN INJURY OR OTHER EVENTS
REQUIRING EMERGENCY CARE WHILE I/WE ARE NOT IN ATTENDANCE AT SUCH EVENT. I HEREBY RELEASE COACHES AND
