Do question one of Build understand as a class and model the problem for the students
For Step it out Question 2 Have them try to do it but be a support and model if needed especially if certain students need
it.
Give more similar problems' to the class that have them practice the skills that learned.
Meet with math groups to go over the topics again. Meet with groups Red, Orange and Yellow first. The do a check in
with Blue and Green.
Fill in the word wheel in the packets and create the super sentences
Have the students fill out the essential questions provided in the text they read.

Give students work time for the on your own homework. Pull each group back to work over the problems with them. Start
with Red group and get them started and refresh over the strategies. Then move down the list and meet with all groups
checking in more with Red group throughout.

Have them write their body paragraphs using their sentences they made with their seeds
Then write their 5 seeds in order in sentence form. Do the same for the other slices.

then have them write a 3 sentence summary about their slice they chose.

With each group have them read their journals and finish the next part. Check for Spelling, Grammar etc.

Have them take all the sections they made and write them in essay order.
Show them what a proper essay would look like. Then have them label the parts of their essay (introduction, body
paragraph 1, etc.)

Pull back students who need test support and read the test to them.
