During the period of the pandemic, it is difficult for us to conduct exchanges with

educational institutions overseas, even within the country. Therefore, with the chance offered
by the University of Macau to participate in this global online programme organised by
Fudan University is an honour and also a way for me to broaden my horizons even within my
own room. The reason why I would like to register for this Accounting course is because as a
humanities student, there are very few opportunities to be involved in subjects from another
discipline. As Accounting is something that will be closely related to our life after our
graduation, no matter if I work as an educator or as a normal office worker, being able to
track one own’s finances as well as the ability to understand the transactions between
different stakeholders is an important skill to have in order to survive in the society.
Therefore, I would like to apply for this course for the above reasons and I hope that you
would consider my application in a positive light.
