I. Description

Empowerment Technologies emphasizes the importance of information and


communication technologies as a tool for curating, contextualizing, collaborating, and
creating content and experiences for learning in the professional tracks. It also aims to
inculcate the schools core values of Godliness, Intelligence, Discipline, Creativity,
Productivity and Nationalism.

PERFORMANCE TASK

First Quarter (Educator/Content Creator)


“PowerPoint Presentation” The students are tasked to create a PowerPoint
presentation and conduct a research on the effects of ICT to the social behavior of
the Filipino Youth.
Second Quarter (Web Developer)
“Blog” Each student acts as a web developer where the student will create their
own website. The students are expected to create a blog on an issue, topic and
learnings that will develop positive values

SCHOOL POLICIES
I. ATTENDANCE AND ABSENTEEISM
1. In accordance with the 1992 Revised Manual of Regulations of Private School (8 th
Edition) Article 12 School discipline, section 73, a pupil or student in every private
school who incurs absences more than twenty percent of the prescribed number of
class or laboratory during the school year should be given a failing grade and given 0
credit for the course or subject.
2. Absentees shall submit their properly accomplished excuse letters to the class adviser.
3. Those who intend to be absent the following day for valid and important reasons must
inform their teachers for reference purposes.
4. An absentee with a valid reason will be excused but still be marked absent in the
attendance folder.
 If sick for several days, a certification from a physician is required.
5. Absentee should request the subject teachers for special examination on the missed
tests.
6. Parent/Guardians of students who incurred 3 days consecutive absences or 5
accumulated absences will be called for a conference.

II. TARDINESS
1. Students who will incur five (5) frequencies of tardiness will do extra work.
2. Two tardiness in the first subject is equivalent to 1 ay absence.
3. Students shall be considered tardy if they arrive in class five (5) minutes after their first
subject
Note: Parents/Guardians of students who are habitually coming to school late, often
absent, and those late comers who are seen in (AM/PM session) another place aside
from the school campus (stores, billiard halls, house of classmate/schoolmate/friend
etc.) will be called for a conference in the CSD office.

III. COMPUTER LABORATORY GUIDELINES


All students should follow the rules of the computer laboratory stated below:
A. Computer laboratory Rules:
Students should:
1. Follow seating arrangement strictly.
2. Observe silence.
3. Computers and software that are not working correctly should be reported
immediately to the Teacher for the latter to do reporting to the Computer
Laboratory Technicians/IT Staff.
4. Be responsible for their own belongings.
5. Any software programs, mpeg, jpeg, mp4, mp3 or any other video and sound
format and game files found in the shared folder should be deleted without notice.
6. Follow strictly the software license agreement and copyright laws.
7. Access internet/websites prescribe by the Teacher only.
8. Insert external drive/devices such as USB drive/Flash drive and hard drive can be
done with Teacher’s approval.
9. Fill in the liability form whenever he/she assembles/disassembles a computer as
a required performance assessment in Computer Systems Servicing.
10. The following acts and practices are STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
10.1Installing or removing software to/from computer system.
10.2Directing abusive language to your classmate/s, teacher/s and other school
staff using the computer unit.
10.3Modifying the hardware and/or software configuration of any computer unit.
10.4Making alterations to the system configurations/settings.
10.5Logging in as another person or using other people’s account.
10.6Downloading of unapproved files, programs or applications.
10.7Online chatting (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) and any other real-time
software applications.
10.8Mail spamming or any other use of e-mail to send offensive and
inappropriate messages.
10.9Forwarding or electronic main chain letters.
10.10 Playing of computer games, PSP and internet games.
10.11 Altering and/or erasing work files of others.
10.12 Bringing in any kinds of food.
10.13 Using of cellphones or any other smartphones.
10.14 Charging cellphone and/or other devices.
