Research Respondents

The Respondents of this research are the elementary and junior high
school students of Adventist Academy Cebu (AAC) of the school year
2023-2024, specifically Grade 5 to 8 as they are mostly affected by the
topic in this research. Exactly fifty (50) respondents are chosen in all
mentioned Graders. These respondents are mostly raging from the age of
11 to 14 years old, both males and females, who are most likely
vulnerable to easily believe the social media’s influences. The choosing of
respondents will be by the method of purposive sampling, in which the
researchers select based on criteria related to the research, not
necessarily at random, rather "on purpose," participants are decided on.
Regarding the sections, 2 in each Grade will be chosen. Questionnaires will
be distributed to each of the four grades.

The table below will show how much the researchers have planned in each
of the 4 grades as the result to 50 respondents. Out of 314 students of
the elementary department, Grade 5 (10 in total) and 6 (10 in total) will
be chosen. Out of 376 students in Junior High school, Grade 7 (15 in total)
and 8 (15 in total) will be chosen. All in all, the total would be 50
respondents.
